This sounds cool!, I have an android 2.2 phone, its as good as an I phone 4 and better than all its predecessors. (and you can hold it anyway u want)
I hope this device does the OS justice, anyone seen a review?

Another attempt which doesn't quite get there ! Plus there's conflicting reports about the 3G being ready.

can't find this anywhere on their site

Could be really good, needs the Android Market though may wait till after Xmas then

Just checked a few forums, the market is available via a small hack. And will be fully available with gingerbread. All video's and reviews look great.

I personally will never use the 3g anyway, wifi all the way.

seems like a very good product especially if it does have a 3g connection.

Available 1st November according to most reports.
This isn't an "ipad killer" but if you want a cheap, wifi only, tablet then this should easily be the best available by a long way.
Do your research, know what it is you're buying and, if possible, get a demo in-store and you should find this tablet to be worth the £250. Just remember that they're releasing 2 different versions and the cheap one isn't worth the money.

From what I've read, the 3G is probably not going to be available until next year. Whether these machines have functioning machinery inside them from the get go is a bit hazy so you might be better off waiting to be sure.

I never understand why people want another 3G enabled device - you probably already have a 3G phone in your pocket with an existing contract - all you need is a bit of software that will turn your phone into a wifi hotspot (easily done with most smartphones) and then connect this, or other devices, to it.

Exactly...Except...You break your mobile phone contract if you tether on them...If you care...which I don't....

Why expired? As stated in title heads up for 1st Nov launch

I find myself conflicted.

On this site, the question is, can you get this somewhere else for less.

Having had a look on dealxtreme and dhgate, the answer seems to be that something similar is available for about 300usd+postage - which is about 220 after conversion and vat.

Given the lack of realistic guarantee, this is close to 249.

In a wider context, an extra 25 gets you

Thinkpad Edge 15" £274 for AMD @ saveonlaptops (posted yesterday by someone else).

So not a great deal, but I do want one.

comparing this to other tablets on dealextreme is silly, as this has a tegra2 as the powerhouse, that is some very powerful stuff, the tablets on deal extreme are basic at best.

Hmmm, has this gone from the Dixons site? I can't find it anywhere.
