Adventureland [DVD] £2.99 at Amazon & Play - Price matched

Welcome to Adventureland, where the worst job imaginable is about to inadvertently turn into the summer that changes everything. Fresh on the heels of directing the runaway hit Superbad, writer-director Greg Mottola returns with a hilariously human, semi-autobiographical comedy about an uptight, overeducated young man whose lowly new Career leads to the wildest ride of his life - a journey through puking kids, angst-filled co-workers and a dizzying-making romantic triangle - all the way to facing his own future with guts and optimism.

Agree with jimmydoodle, one of my favourite films of 2009.
#4
It was awful, there was hardly any comedy and the plotline was so dull and cliche.
#5
Great film, awesome 80's soundtrack......
#6
This was not supposed to be a comedy, it annoys me when people criticise it for not having enough jokes.
It's a well made film and worth £3, easily.
#7
Cool movie, good story, great soundtrack and a nice nostalgic atmosphere.

Modern day plebs will find it hard to watch as there are no monsters, no robots, no CGI, no 3D or anything else that's needed to keep their attention for longer than ten minutes.

I loved the bit with Bill Murray!

Missed this at cinema (gutted) so rented it on XBOX live. What a waste, very few moments of comedy, which it seemed to be advertised as. Quite boring, though decent soundtrack. Good price though.

Good price. I was a teen in the 80s, in my opinion the 80s was the worst decade for music in the 20th Century from what I've heard. It wasn't all bad but I'd rather forget it lol. People my age (almost 40) want to go back and relive the past it seems.

I think that's Zombieland you're thinking of. Which is an awesome movie!

Sorry to disagree, but I watched Zombieland with a few friends and when the movie ended we all said "er is that it?". Nothing happens in Zombieland, it lacks a plot. There's the rollercoaster ride and the Bill Murray cameo and that's about all the interest the film can muster. If you haven't seen Zombieland don't bother you can summarise it as this "World over run by Zombies, some people drive on a road nothing happens of any significance along the way, they end up in a theme park, the End".

I'll always watch a film to make my own judgement so I might have a look at the one in this thread, just dreading the 80s revival, a rubbish decade in the 20th Century.

That's weird, because nearly every sypnonsis or review for it online mentions it's a comedy drama.

My reaction to the movie was quite strange.

Nothing particularly interesting happened, it wasn't particularly funny or dramatic, yet I really liked it for some reason!

i really like this film heat added

I hope you're "trolling a troll" as it were.
