If anyone has this a review of the quality of the DVD would be helpful.

I've got the DVD. Its black and white, patchy in places, music can be a bit wobbly, looks older than its 46 years, but it's as brilliant as it was when it was originally on the TV. Buy it.

The CD has better quality of music on it...you really need both DVD and CD.

A French Director's Adaptation of an English Classic starring an Austrian-Born German Actor ...then dubbed into English! Essential viewing even by today's standards. I remember it being re-run year after year on BBC1 during the summer holidays, but no matter what, somehow I always missed one episode!? Almost forgot, One of the Best Musical Scores and Main Themes ...Ever!! Must buy this...

It's not Blu Ray, its not HD, its not 3D, its not DVD...urmmm just a minute it is DVD but not DVD quality. No this is something else Nostalgia at it's best, if you saw it when you was a kid then buy it, the picture and sound quality doesn't matter at all!
