AEG were a top quality brand - but lots of items are now coming in seriously cheap under this brand. Are they still made in Germany and top quality? I suspect they have gone the way of many quality brands - just badges on Chinese kit (like Grundig etc).

AEG have had a big rebranding but are still producing a full range of pro-quality tools and provide a 3 year warranty, and spec wize this saw is a great deal.

B&Q seem to be limiting themselves to DIY power tools only from Bosch, B&D and Ryobi and junking Makita, Hitachi and AEG from their shelves.

Indeed, they are now part of Electrolux and have gone rapidly downhill ever since, same with Flymo, another brand ruined by Electrolux.
