Aerobie 13" Pro Flying Ring, £6.99 delivered!

Iom-RF Avatar

I was actually bought one as a gift a few years ago, Simply the best free frisbee i've ever used!, It goes very very far!

£6.99 may seem a lot but it is very good!

Description : For exhilarating games of catch, nothing compares with the Aerobie Pro flying ring, holder of the Guinness World Record for the farthest throw - it flew an amazing 1,333 feet / 406 meters.

For truly exhilarating games of catch, the Pro ring has no equals. You can actually play catch with a friend more than 100 yards away. The soft rubber edge makes catching soft and easy. Even today, more than a decade after the Pro ring's creation, onlookers are still amazed by this incredible flying ring.

Size: 13 inch diameter. Colour will vary between red, yellow or purple

Don't forget Quidco!, lol! - Iom-RF

Now gone up to £8.99 - Hotshot_147

I'm tempted to get one, these are great frisbees. Is that a good price?

EDIT - froogle seems to think it's a good price..
#2
I think this a good price, I've voted hot. If I didn't already have one of these, I'd be all over this deal. Of course, for Aerobie you really need sunshine, and that's just not forthcoming this year.
#3
That's a pretty reasonable price for the 13". They normally retail at around £9.99.
Love these, they are great for days when I cant fly kites (power kites) :)
#4
OK, think I'll get one then. Thanks IOM!

Hehe, No probs!

It is a good price, But if people compare it to an ordinary frisbee in poundland etc, It seems expensive, But its worth 6x more as its 10x better!!

I'll have to agree with this.
One you get the technique nailed these things fly for ages, they are a little harder to throw at first as if you don't hold it almost dead pan flat it will possibly wind up acting like a boomerang and coming back :giggle:

Yeah, It took me a while to get the hang of it, It kept coming back like a boomerang!!

This is one of the easier Aerobie ones though, I've also got the triangle one to, That was more difficult to throw as when that came back as a boomerang it hurt!!!

Just added to the OP, Don't forget Quidco, Not much but it all adds up! :)

Great fribee! good deal. I will have to buy my 3rd now then (they don't float and the local park has some very large trees). Thanks
#10
i broke one of these last week and didnt want to spend £10 on another!:P
#11
i get them in charity shops for 50p each usually. shame they dont float
#12
this same 1??

get me some ill pay you £2 each!
#13
These are good - in fact too good as you need a VERY big space to throw them in and a long stick to knock them out of the trees they invariably become stuck in.
#14
Hmmm I think I prefer the traditional frisbee - You can do more with it - this, you can't flip it, you can't throw it down and make it gradually glide up. You just throw it...Why not get three tennis balls for £1?

because they're tennis balls and not a frisbee and people looking at this post are probably not looking for tennis balls!!!!!!

OMG so many opinions (yes this is one too)
I have one, sits flat on the floor of the car so easy to store, hole good for hanging on things and carrying around but it cannot be used as a plate if caught short whilst camping;-)

- this is a frisbee and a good price for what it is. stop the nonsense please

i remember these being given away with hula hoops. i wouldnt pay £6.99 for it.

They're actually terrible frisbees if you want to do anything other than throw it a long way and keep it completely flat.

You cant throw anything with any sort of inside out or outside in direction on it or make the disc hang in the air or airbounce and it removes most of the throw types you can do with a 'normal' frisbee.

The frisbee player's choice is a Discraft Ultrastar 175g ultimate disc:

I actually remember paying £8 for a yo-yo!

Its not an ordinary frisbee, Its 10x better.

And you can throw it up, Spin it around and do different things.

Its not just him though, isn't this one of the most popular frisbee's EVER?

This is just another case of people chipping in worthless comments about something? If there wasn't worth it then it wouldn't be so popular.

If you don't want to spend £6.99 and are happy with a 10p tennis ball then that's perfectly fine but we don't really want to know about it, if you get what I mean!

Can you throw a tennis ball a quarter mile??

They seem to do that quite frequently when a load of people from here buy them...

I had one over twenty years ago, stuck in a tree, then some guys tried to steal it on the beach after a MEGA throw, then I finally lost it on the roof of a four storey block of flats, curse my zealousness.

A blue inner and orangey-red outer rubber is the original colours, these things are identical from when I was at school, price was around £5 back then.
