    Cold.Not enough air flow

As stupid as it sounds your probably right about the air flow.
Standard cases work by creating negative or positive air flow in the case to maximise cooling. With an open design like this it just increases the temperature all around the case, instead of drawing cold air and exhausting hot, you get warm air all round.

Take it to a massive LAN event, go to the loo and come back to find half your PC missing.

Heat for cheapest price, but I don't buy that this is designed for use as a test bed, its for people that want to show off all their parts - Nothing wrong with that. As mentioned above though, no one with children could ever own this, I know personally that if I did own it, within 10 minutes I would be have dropped 8 cups of coffee inside and would spend most of my time removing my kids severed fingers and blowing out dog hair.

I wouldn't own it though because its a bit like a Golf Cabriolet, on paper it should be amazing but in reality it just looks weird. "Computa ses nooooo"

Quite possibly the most retarded 'case' design i've ever seen, and that coming from somebody who once built a wooden PC.....

Besides the fans, although there are only low voltages present outside the power supply, the currents are quite high, so if a short occurs you could get burnt.

Doesn't look quite so cool when it's stuffed with components

It occupies rather a lot of desk space.

The motherboard is quite accessible. If the drive bay slots were easily removable it would have been useful
    Quite useful for test purposes.
Seems to be the cheapest price so voted hot

These are typically used by people who need quick access to their pcs like if they test parts.

Pretty cool design, especially for gamers, though it's apparently quite a large unit.

That is sweet, if I had somewhere it could sit I would buy it in a second! Luv it.

You could barbecue on that thing in the summer

overstyled and impractical. For testing, just assemble it all on a bench and surround with desk fans as required ... the only thing I struggle with is lifting the motherboard securely so I can get a fan under it to cool behind the cpu, and this doesn't seem to help with that.

PS it's a lot bigger than the pics show.

Somebody recently read The Emperor's New Clothes in their R&D team and marketing loved the idea!
What an Extreme Dust Trap System © . I pity the fool who has to clean all the exposed components and 'not' worry about static niceties...

Wanted one of these a month ago, decided to go for a NZXT Phantom 630 instead. This could have been perfect if it wasn't for the whole, y'know, dust issue.

Although its aimed at keen gamers / enthusiasts the open case is not a good idea if you attend LAN parties and want to secure your expensive graphics cards and CPU. Need something enclosed and lockable in order to stop wandering hands nicking your hardware.

Yea I can't imagine this being very good at cooling at all. Pretty poor flow.

Don't these suffer badly from the mobo tray sagging heavily?

What happens with regards to dust? At least my case has dust filters!
  34. Urzrkymn's avatar
Do the people saying that there isn't enough air flow have any basis for this, or are they able to work out the fluid dynamics just by looking at it?

In this review they thought it was rather good.

It happens to us all, no shame in it.
  38. biglugs1's avatar
The simplest solution to the dust/heating problem would be to stick it inside a huge perspex case, cut a hole in one end and cover it with an air filter, then cut a hole at the other end and permanently attach it to a Dyson vacuum cleaner switched on full. Or you could just buy a sensible case.
