I'm hopefully going to grab a last minute holiday deal soon, and this little gadget will come in very handy!
I always find plugging in your normal headphones into the 2 socket plug on an aeroplane only gives sound in one ear! This little device fixes that!
for £2.95, cheaper or near enough the same price as a pair of in flight headphones! (terrible headphones!) ;)
and its DELIVERED!

anyways hope you like it!

Convert a standard dual airplane socket into a 3.5mm stereo socket. This allows the use of your personal high-quality stereo headphones to enjoy the in-flight films and other audio channels instead of the standard headphones supplied by the airline. As is the case on many charter airlines do not be forced into purchasing headphones from the airline and use your own great headphones.

2 x 3.5mm mono jack plugs to 3.5mm stereo jack socket.
Enjoy in-flight films and other audio channels.
Great for the hygene concious, use your own favourite earphones.
Compatible with almost all airlines.
I just take two earphones and plug both in but use opposing buds from each earphone leaving two spare :/

Yep because an extra set of headphones are cheaper than an adapter.

you can get most things cheaper on ebay but on hotukdeals your not supposed to compare shop prices with ebay
... sigh, who compares prices to ebay? :(
same thing at asda (instore) in holiday extras cheaper than this

a great tip as one would have a spare set!
pocket money price for the gadget, but all the shceduled airlines i fly with give you earphones free for use during the flight. Who charges for them ?
i can't remember the last time i was on a flight where you had to pay for the headphones!
the last 4 sets of headphones I've bought came with one of these included.

Agreed, most airlines give them free & even the budget airlines only charge about £1.50 for an adapter. cold.
I have just paid £400 for a flight to New York just so I can try the adaptor out, I hope it works.

"Never buy in flight headphones again!"

Yes thats right - No need as you never buy them on a plane anyway. I have always been given them FREE.

Not a bargain then !!! :-D
You can use ordinary headphones eben on a double jack socket. Simply plug your headphones into one of the sockets and then gently pull it out a bit until you get stereo sound. Works every time so no need to make a purchase.
No idea which airlines you people get them free on but EVERY airline I have flown with (and I fly 3 times a year on budget arilines) charge for these,

Mind you, the adaptors are only £2 on the plane so this is a poor deal.
Ever since I grabbed a few freebie airline headphones from an Air Canada stewardess I haven;'t been on a plane that requires this type plug, they have all used the normal stereo jack :-(
also, any in-flight headset i have been given always has a detachable adapter. so you can always use your own headphones with the airlines adapter
every flight i have been on except virgin i have had to buy headphones i think they charge £3.00 per set
Obviously each flight operator varies, but every single flight I have been on required a purchase of standard in flight headphones of around £2. They were plastic big chunky earclip things which were terrible, so for £2.95 delivered to my door I can enjoy my own headphones that I wear all the time on my flight.

Cold too some it seems, (a stonking BAD cold score atm?! jeez I didn't think it was that bad!)
but hot to those who can use it and benefit.

I've never been offered the adapter on a flight ever, and the only ones i saw in poundland were 2 headphone splitter adaptors that look similar.

Hope some of you make use of it!
loooooooooooool......Now thats what I call a bargain, I hope the adaptor works fine.....I've never had to pay for headphones on a flight, and I've travelled quite abit..Head Phones that they provide work fantasticaly, if I ever do have a problem I'll just ask for more. I didnt know this was amongst the millions of other Problems in the world.
It's just a small, cheap little adaptor that may help or benefit someone during or before going on holiday.

It may not be amongst all the other problems in the world, just like automatic can openers, ipod cases, fridge stickers, wheelie bin art.

It's all made for people to buy if they damn well want to and will enjoy using it.
