OK guys, before i press the button on these.
1) are these better than my current Corsair Dominator GT 2133MHz (4gb) ( or shall i purchase another 4gb of those and be done with it?
2) Would they be compatible with the 4gb if i decided to plonk them both in?
Any info will be much appreciated!!!!! :)
Thanks,
Brilliant :(

Not better, the numbers are lower :) a rule you can follow almost everywhere (unless it's latencies, the CL figures, where lower is better). It was also too good to be true, so don't worry about it.

What's the betting that ddr3 suddenly becomes scarce because ddr4 is replacing it now, thus ensuring the prices never drop past their current fixed prices?

I'd like to know if the keycaps are of a decent weight.
Difficult to find a budget mechanical with nice weighty keycaps...the best I've found is the compact Quickfire TK, but the compact size annoys me (need to switch between numeric keypad and arrow keys)
I bought the full-size Quickfire TK and the keycaps turned out to be much lighter than those of the compact :(

Just weighed the G-key on both my QFR and my TK Stealth. (both compact Kbds, I don't have the full size Ver you have). Both so close to a gram, digital kitchen scales can't differentiate. I did however try the ruler method and there's about a mm difference. The QFR key is slightly heavier than the TK Stealth!

Can increase weight by putting rings on them.

I actually swapped most of the caps over so I can type on the Stealth (Brown switches, tiny glyphs on front of keys) and use the QFR (Blacks) for WASDing.

Time for double-shot keys for you I think :8

No, they are plastic like most other key caps, though the mechanism is first class.
I use the MK-85 Brown for gaming and I really dont like it, have had the Red previously and honestly cannot wait to get another. The Brown for me just dont cut the mustard.

I heard the build quality of these QPads are the best.
They are very good quality, no doubt about it, unfortunately I have had to send back 3 now because of "ghost key presses". To be fair to QPad I also must admit their customer service was excellent, they gave me a checklist to go through each time and on completion if the keyboard was still faulty they gave me a reference number to help with the RMA process. [This helped BIG TIME as the retailers could see what QPad and myself had done to try and fix the issue so they accepted the RMA without question. First class CS.]

Gamers prefer Reds/Blacks. I have no idea why they market gaming Kbds with Browns, they're for typing w/o bottoming out.

Get something with Blacks, stronger spring than Red. I like them.

I think you missed the point of my question.

Different thickness/density of plastic can be used...keycaps that are just 1 gramme heavier makes a big difference to the feel of the keyboard.

surprised at that, they didn't even bother answering the emails i sent over my mk-80

These are great fans, i use them in my case, they are quiet, run about 1250 - 1350 RP< and push A LOT of air.
Heat added.

Whats the difference between PWM and the normal ones? I don't have fan control in my case so which one would be suitable for me?Thanks

If you don't have fan control then the normal ones are ok. The difference between PWM and normal fans is the PWM fans speed can be controlled by a fan controller or motherboard bios/uefi.

Not quite right. Both fans can be speed controlled. Normal fans require a voltage controller that varies the voltage between 3-12V. PWM fans on the other hand have the controller logic on-board, always get 12V and can control their speed using the fourth cable/signal line. I believe you can still regulate PWM fans by sending a 100% signal and tuning the voltage, but I am not sure about this.

A fan controller usually is a voltage controller and designed to control normal 3-pin fans. Each channel of the fan controller can be regulated to a different voltage hence speed of the fan(s). Some cases have built in fan controllers. Fan controllers can be had for 1.19£ + delivery: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asetek-fan-speed-controller-kit-3pin-fan-fan-controller-motherboard-kit.

Many motherboards can control both types of fans. For example most fan pins on my Asus p9x79 pro motherboard are compatible with both PWM and normal fans. Just the second CPU fan can only be PWM controlled. In theory this is great as you can set up software to regulate the fans. In practice it can be suboptimal as only the CPU temperature is used for regulation, but not necessarily the graphics cards temperature.

Conclusion: if you have a good motherboard you can get a normal fan and don't bother with fan controllers or fancy cases.

Still available but £3.65 :)
These fan are really good as I changed my case fan few months ago & it has made big difference. Need similar one for heatsink now. Can anyone suggest good pwm fan?
I am keen on 'silent fans'. Do these qualify?
If anyone finds a price like this for the Akasa Apache 120mm Camo fans, I'd be all over it :)

The reviews suggest these are 3-pin fans, NOT 4-pin PWM. The Amazon description (that the OP has used here) is wrong.

The F9 i received had both 3 AND 4 pin option, so i would guess this might be the same.

might suggest people wait to get this one. why? cause soon after the F9 was posted from Kikatek, someone else posted the F9 at a cheaper price over at Amazon (http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/arctic-cooling-f9-92-mm-fan-2-76-amazon-1345166#post15840717).

Re the F9 which i got, it is quite(r, than my previously standard one). so i would recommend it.
I want to.. but i shouldnt.. I have 2 12cm sitting not doing anything simply because it doesn't match the colour..
