Thank you for all of the imaginative comments from new labour about the class system.......much appreciated!

Nothing at all to do with the class system. 'Deals' like this will always attract a serious amount of mickey taking.

But I still like a cuppa,a cake and a sandwich as much as the next person-costs me over £10 in C**ta coffee so this is a bargain and I look forward to taking my nan when she visits.
I knew i would get ripped by a certain section of hot deals-always do when I post these but i shall post them anyway....toodle pip oiks!!
I was thrown out by my string vest and ripped my bermuda shorts on the pavement and broke my flip-flops last time i went there..........so cold from me........(not)
"A discretionary 12.5% service charge will be added to your bill." Where's the discretion in that!
Do you have to own a fiat 500 too?

I went on sunday. I spend a lot of money eating out / drinks in the best places in London, I know what I'm talking about.
I can honestly say that this tea at 25£ per two is WAY overpriced.
They start with sandwiches and crisps, rubbish sandwiches the Boots deal you find anytime at lunch time are better and they kept the best part (the smoothies).
Then 4 little scones, normal jam (nothing fancy) and a few pastries (a bit stale if you ask me).
The atmospehere isn't worth going for, my tea table had hair and crumbles from the previous guests and the sofa really need to be refurbished.
My advice is, go to a good pastry shop Maison Blanc, Gaelle, maybe Pain Quotidien, you will spend pretty much the same for much better food.

if your paying a pony for tea id tell them you want fresh not stale pastries

guess u best stick to joe's bumcr**k cafe....if you think that is expensive then the ritz is £37 per person

nah.. I'll stick to eating good food as I always do - and not deluding myself into thinking that getting a discount on some overpriced titbits in a hideously expensive hotel constitutes a fine dining bargain.

cheers
Nice deal. Am in London on Wednesday and have booked. Thanks :-D
