As per the title really - Latics again offer one of the cheapest season tickets in the Premiership (and I'd imagine one of the cheapest of the Championship as well).
Prices start for adults at £250, and no ticket is above £300 (they even have a "dad and lad" ticket for £250).
I think I saw that it worked out at a very good £13.80 per game, which is very good value.
Excellent price to keep increasing the fan base, and in turn the atmosphere at the DW. It was great against Arsenal, just need to keep it going against the "lesser" clubs to stop the media portraying us a s a bit of an embarrassment to the Premiership.
Hopefully with some more funds Martinez can get some better players in and keep the same philosophy.

Great price, they should charge that at all Premiership grounds!
#2
Good price.. but these prices are just for season ticket renewals... for the moment at least.
#3
damn good price....my club Reading have just reduced their cheapest adult ST from £425 to £375...finally!

no, i heard Chelsea will charge £200 per game for 1 adult next season
i refused to go 3 seasons ago when they wanted £48 to watch an away game, when my club Reading were there...went to most grounds and only Man U charged anywhere near that - £42
prem league pricing is a joke and itll all go bang one day...just like the italian league did when it was the premier league about 20 years ago

im sure, like when my club was there, Wigan dont feel welcome but hope you stay there as this hopefully wakes up the bigger clubs

the Italian league 'went bang' because the premier league became richer thanks to TV money not because they overcharge fans. You can still go to watch AC Milan play for just 11 euros. Currently and i remember when it was even cheaper no so long ago when Serie A was still one of the best leagues in the world. Kids get in for just 4 euros any seat as long astheyre with an adult. Similarily Roma and Juve start at €15 and €20 respectively. You can even watch R.Madrid for around €20 euros.

Rip off Britain. But suckers will pay!

Wigan are a such a good club! You even got Titus Bramble playing well!
#7
Man City are also doing this.. a very limited number of £250 tickets (allocated seat)
#8
great price for prem football, £300 cheapest adult ticket at sheffield united, under 13s tickets are only £10 though...
#9
Blackburn season tickets are £209 in the Blackburn End next season so Wigan aren't the cheapest.......
#10
good price, but the ground will still be half empty for most games.
#11
Definetly a good price, football clubs should be dropping prices to get fans through the gates
#12
(they even have a "dad and lad" ticket for £250)

That's a good price

Is that the 15 game one though?

Wasn't impressed with Blackburn, charged us £29 to sit at the top of a green house, while the home fans beneath us were in for a £30 ticket that got them into 2 or 3 games. Always thought if you were sat in a comparable area to the home fans then it had to be the same price.

Won't pretend that we're saints as it's costing me £35 for the final home game against Sun'lan and I'm sure I paid less then that at the SOL this season.

Shame there were only about 14,000 when we played Wigan in August but £20 a ticket - happy with that.

No 15 games is still available at £159 - £209 is for all home games in the Blackburn End Lower and Riverside

wigan are poor team this should be free
#17
Great deal.. not a big fan of Wigan and especially Martinez. But wish I could get a season ticket this cheap for the Swans let alone a Premier League club.
#18
cracking deal!

and Ken Bates wonders why I wont pay £500 to watch Leeds in at best Championship football and maybe only league 1 football!

Great deal and a decent club who play good footie (@ home anyway, lol). As a Man Utd fan I would even consider this for the "dads & Lads" for me and my little boy. Can't afford a Man U season ticket unfortunately :-(

Hmmmm. Voted cold because you have to watch Wigan. ;)

I think you will find next seasons cheapest ticket at Blackburn - will be £150 for 16 matches (excl's Utd, Liverpool and Man City - but these can be bought in other parts of the ground for reduced price of £26). This is unreserved seating in the Darwen End - now known as the home of the Darwen End Choir :-D

Brave for a Leeds fan to say something like that!

Great value. Fulham do season tickets from £285 which is good for a London club.

My local team (Southend) are charging £320 for League 2 football next season!!! insane!

poor idiot loughboro guy are illiterate

Anyway. this is a really good deal. Wigan beat Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Villa this season - how many other fans have seen that?

Pity they only bother to play for half the games though.....

As for the 'ground half full' comments, don't believe everything you hear (or see for that matter!) on Match Of The Day. The average crowd is about 4/5ths of capacity for the football (or just over half full when the rugby league are playing).

Wigan have also had a deal on for the last 3 home games; season ticket holders could buy two tickets @ £6 each and get one free, which works out at £12 for 3 tickets. Matches were Postmouth, Arsenal and Hull yesterday.

My Wycombe Wanderers season ticket costs this. Great value.

I wish more clubs would lower prices to ensure bigger crowds. It really does help the team on the pitch and the atmosphere off it.
#28
seen this already on here - STILL 20% more expensive than Blackburn Rovers at £209!
#29
Fantastic price.

I know. I was joking.

Some clubs can charge low prices as they never fill there grounds, better off selling cheap tickets and getting a few heads in the ground than have a ground thats empty

Correct.

BBC, Sky and ESPN were all hyping this fact yesterday as we beat Arsenal - Blackburn Rovers' season tickets are the cheapest in all FOUR leagues.

Sorry guys, but simply because BRFC's Season Tickets are £209, I have to vote cold on this one...

I'd say it's worth the extra 41 quid to watch a Martinez side over a Big Sam team! :p

you must have no knowledge of the club, the south stand was shut that day in the FA cup which still baffles me when the bbc show it as an example of our crowds, some people will believe anything.

Next time, do a bit of research before you post ;)

Eh? I really don't understand that logic....so you're basically disregarding the fact that Wigan's season tickets are less than half the price of most other Premier League teams and voting the deal cold just because there's one more club, who also struggle for supporters, who happen to be cheaper.

So if another Premier League club slashed their season ticket prices to £208 I presume that would then make Blackburn's prices cold aswell would it?
#38
NOT THE CHEAPEST.

Blackburn is £209 - for all, not just renewals!
#39
Cannae wait for blackpool to batter the prem next season! :D
#40
cheapest or not, its still a cracking deal to watch a prem team
hope they have another good season ;)
