  This is the lowest price its ever been on Amazon.

  As things go, there was really nothing wrong with this series as everyone was having a go at everyone else in fairly equal measure. If you look or listen hard enough to something, it's guaranteed that you'll find something that will offend somebody. Many a time I find politicians' comments and statements offensive but I don't suppose for one second that they will be gagged. It's about time the powers-that-be climbed out from where they've stuck their heads and realise where it could eventually lead. After all, many dramas about WW1 and WW2 are highly offensive to those who were our enemies. Even certain episodes of "Dads Army" and "Allo, Allo" could be considered to have racist comments in them, and certainly some episodes of Steptoe could be considered homophobic. Probably the most PC thing that could be done is shut down all radio and tv, cinemas, newspapers, strike us all deaf, dumb, chop off our hands, and poke our eyes out so that we can't hear, see, write or read anything offensive.

  I agree. I loved 'It ain't half hot mum' and it still makes me laugh when I catch an episode now. It was an accurate period comedy. Windsor Davies was very funny but the Indian characters where equaly as funny and strong.

  I don't know if they have digitally cleaned any of these up, but I have an earlier complete box set. There are some previously lost episodes, where the quality is terrible.
