So my Elf came today and I'm very impressed.
Speedy , good screen (bright and good angles, from 3 sides anyway)

Comes with a UK charger , also a screen protector in the Box.

Stock Rom Seems Great and can be rooted
This rom has full market and shows as a Galaxy SII (they share the same GPU so all games will work)
http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/34145-ainol-novo-elf-2-ii-root-google-apps-custom-rom-feiyu-0806/

The Aurora 2 is £20 more and you get an IPS screen. This is more than good enough for me :)

UK stock so no customs or import tax.
#7
Oh not dissing the price mate, just taking a chance. Never been stung for vat or duty ever and got loads of stuff.

I should have said they look good and cant wait for mine.

Its a good price if you don't like taking a risk.
#8
Got mine from China, came to £113 including the £18 import duty and clearance fees. That was for the 16gb version with case, extra screen protector (one already applied), 2 usb leads, headphones and a 2amp charger. I believe the charger supplied by Futeko is a Veho VAA-003 USB only rated at 500ma (will take forever to charge).
#9
mtc you may be right , think I may need to get a charger..

There are now at least 2 developers making roms for these ;)

The rom above default's to chinese language here is how to change it

I will make a few vids of screen and games etc later :D

Any problems using that company mtc having done a search a lot of folks seem to have had trouble when they were trading under a different title/name.

I had no problems whatsoever, took longer than expected (2 weeks) but still arrived before Futeko had stock. The charger is the correct rating for the product, the case is good quality & it's 16gb, the only draw back of course is no UK warranty.
#14
Should get mine for a review on Monday.

Thanks for the info mtc.

But your comment is just as stupid. Everything is built to a price. It's about weighing the product to cost ratio. In value for money terms its very good and gets some of the best reviews for a tablet of this price from people all around the world.

good comment & i would like to say that the "good" quality china made products are made by japanese & western owned factories the reason why they build their factories over there is because of low taxes & very cheap labour = higher profit.

Yes, China now builds to the price point. It can build stuff to the very highest standard with the best quality control in the world, aka Apple and it can build some really cheap awful tat. What this is, i dont know.

Lol. Did I even comment anything about the price? Is that all your genius brain can analyze?

The bottom line is this product is low build quality. If you still go for it because of the low price then go for it .. but that still would not make it a high quality product.

Agreed, please do.

china tablets are the same as custom building a pc, if you know what you are doing you can get the best stuff for a third of the price, but you will have to be bright enough to flash a rom.
#30
The external build quality of these is fantastic, i was amazed at just how good they are for the money. Yes the internals don't look pretty but it's still built with a quality CPU & Screen. You won't get anything from a major brand as good as this for anywhere near the price.
#31
This is a 7" tablet. I would go for something far cheaper for a 7" tablet.

Great spec for price, just deciding on this or Aurora2 for £20 more as mentioned by the op, same chipset, 16GB onboard storage, IPS screen and 2mm thinner, seems worth the extra money, on pre-order for 20th June, so probably really looking at end of June.

Would prefer to buy from a UK seller, any problems and you haven't got the return shipping problems with China/HK.

Looked OK apart from the accelerometer and them not putting volume control in an easy place. Still miles better than the likes of the M009S

You said for a few quid more, which lets face it is a crock of ****. They will be double this price at least.
