I bought one of these last time the price was low (at Maplin). Very happy with it. I have the Aiptek 3D digital picture frame too, which cost a lot more. On that, the glasses-free 3D works fairly well, but the same effect on the camera's own tiny screen doesn't really come across. I am dithering over the acquisition of a large 3D telly, which ought to do justice to the films and photos from this. It comes with red/blue 3d specs and software that lets you view the output on a computer monitor in old-school 3D, but it isn't really wonderful that way.

Incidentally, the NP-60 batteries are cheap and plentiful online. I bought several for an older camera for a quid each, and so have lots of spares for this.

I've just looked at a few reviews on YouTube it kid of looks crappy. It's more of a toy than anything serious. Next best thing is a £1500 Panasonic 3d video cam though, but I imagine that is ina different league

Not a toy. It's quite high resolution. Obviously you can pay more and get something better. Sony do a small 3D camera similar to this one, but I thinks its eyes are too close together.

Cold. You'd probably get the same if not better video from a modern mobile phone these days. Be careful when buying a pocket camera as the market for them is very bad at the moment.

Going by the picture quality of this video, it looks terrible (I turned the 3D off as my monitor isn't 3D)

    Sorry, but cold.

I believe the 3D videos are lower resolution than the the normal ones, which are 720p HD (the same as my 50 inch TV). I don't think you should judge from a you tube video, which may well have been reduced in resolution.

Of course, if you aren't interested in the 3D aspect, this may not be a great buy, but try finding a 3D camera cheaper.

I have this and it's been great for holidays etc. Video quality still very good even when output to a 50" 3D tv.
