plus if its too cheap it will probably go bust just before you leave or even better while you are there!!

don't worry, this airline is doing well... with many people using it because of it's "low cost" feature. Although sometimes other non low cost airline may beat its price. You need to pay extra for luggage, in flight food and entertainment... pretty similar to easyjet. But of course if you later change you mind and want to change the travel schedule, then it will hit your pocket hard... in the end, you pay what you get... if you are sure you can travel on the date, you should be getting a good bargain... otherwise, I will say don't do it!

but the return tax and fees are only RM25, so if you book a return journey it is just over £300.

for a holiday period it is not too bad is it?

This is an amazing deal, return I can find for £343 which is crazy cheap for a 12-14 hour long haul flight. I would jump on this if I could. Crazy that this is voted cold. I have flown with Air Asia many times and they are an amazing airline if your expectations are at the correct level, i.e. remember the £343!!

I don't think youcan get £343 anymore... that was the price on promotion when they first started... with UK government raising the tax, the price will just keep going up. I think you you can find something like £400, you should be very lucky...

I found £343 on multiple dates by looking just now! What's the point of saying "I Don't Think", why don't you actually look. It's so easy to find dates for this price, I can't believe this isn't hotter!

Don't they charge you for everything on top too... like ryan air. Baggage, entertainment...and FOOD (let alone drinks) on a 12 hour flight!

If you can't find it cheaper including all of this I'd be surprised. Try air china or malaysian airlines do great deals too and they include everything including TOP service.

PS, a deal exactly like this for April next year was posted a week or two ago.

True, but the title says London-Malaysia £98, not Malaysia-London. £350 return is almost twice the price I expected from the title.

For a holiday period it probably isn't too bad but I have no idea what a low cost fare to Malaysia normally is (because of this I didn't vote cold - just pointed out that the price is completely wrong).

And to the person above, AirAsiaX are unlikely to go bust anytime soon.

Oh come on people! This is like Ryanair all over again - yes it's a budget airline. The clue lies in the word BUDGET.

Just paid £383 return over the Easter period including luggage, meals, transfers and a sim card.
That's a bargain, end of. Thanks OP.

p.s. yes this deal was posted not long ago but for the same dates the prices were £20-30 higher when I checked the first time round. Think they may have lowered it some more (try to get the Economy Promo tariff) as it's coming towards the end of the sale.

Never really a good deal with airasia unless its a promo price and it starts in asia.

Lots of cheap outbound flights but return prices are £194+tax (checked every day in the offer period). I personally would pay more and flight with a good airline as it normally only costs £50 more and that £50 = a lot better entertainment, better quality food and drinks.

End of the day you get what you pay for!

Voted cold as Airasia's last offer to Korea was so much better.

Then you must be lucky... remind you that you haven't included the luggage and food... you can say I'm ignorant by saying "I don't think"... well, I don't mean any harm and if you find my comments upsetting... what can i say?

If added cost of meal and luggage, the cost will be something like £371.60... well, still cheap... but last time Malaysia airline came out with a deal for £399 all inclusive, you get drinks as you like and you get snacks for free and in flight entertainment for free... + luggage of 20kg... for an extra £20 and 1hr less flying time, I guess Malaysia airline is a bargain. Well all these are in my own opinion, I can agree some people won't agree with me for paying an extra £30 but I guess we all don't drink the same "cup of tea" :)

Unfortunately all the flights from Malaysia to UK are more expensive... sometimes there are flight that cost something like £200 one way from Malaysia to UK but the return flight has always been more expensive... I presume it is just the way business works playing with the sales figures and maximise the gain in some way. I don't like this but to be honest, they still provide the cheaper travel compared to other airline.
I heard the news about airasiaX going public with a certain percentage of their share soon (next year probably)... They want the Air Asia X to be totally independent to the Air Asia...
Read this... http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2010/6/14/business/6454481&sec=business

So far I see more travel agent going bust rather than airline going bust... but this is an airline own by a number of big companies.

by the way, I don't work for Air Asia... I don't really like Air Asia but only interested in the lower air fare the offered.

LOL... but flight from Malaysia to Korea can't really be compared to a flight from Malaysia to UK... the distance differ so much... in the end you don't want this airline to go bust in the middle of you travel, r u? :)
