Halfords air con recharge w/ fitting and anti-bac!

Buy the EZ recharge kit (£34.99) and pay for fitting (£9.99) after the 10min on the spot re-gas, Halfords will refund £10 back for giving back the empty refill can. The Anti-baterial treatment is given to you free and you can run this through the system whenever you want, take 10mins and doesn't require any technical knowledge.

If you know you need a refill, this is the best price I was able to find and unlike most garages, were happy to do it on a Sunday!

Or £25 if you can do it your self

Not sure just zapping more fluids into the system is the best way to go ?
Had mine done by a proper machine at F1 AutoCentres last year - it's only £42 on their website (and there used to be £back opportunities too). That includes de-gassing & re-gassing it to the right level, though did take 20-30 minutes from memory and of course requires an appointment time-slot..

This diy kit doesn't work on all cars. Def not my laguna

Would this work on 2008 ford focus

Quick fit charge £49... However if it doesn't work they take the gas back out and don't charge!

normally don't recommend them but i just changed air con pump they have some crazy machine that extracts everything then puts the right amount in, took around an hour to do mine. Unlimited hot drinks too!

Noooooooooooooooo, don't do it.

The aircon recharge MUST be preceded by vacuum pumping ALL the old gas out first. It takes at least 20mins to do that. This deal will only be a quick fix that you will regret in no time at all.

A replacement aircon pump could cost you £500 so I wouldn't risk letting Halfrauds anywhere near your car if you care about it.

BTW, My mobile aircon specialist comes and does mine properly for £35.

exactly !

this is a job that must be done correctly. Is not like topping up oil or water levels !!

to keep the aircon system and compressor working correctly the right amount of lubricant and gas must be in the system, that's why it must be fully evacuated and recharged with the correct dosage.

and also just dumping the gas and adding a a random charge is dangerous - and maybe illegal just to dump the refrigerant gas to atmosphere - certainly irresponsible !

If you aircon is not working properly get a qualified specialist to recharge it - as said above should cost under £50

For sure Halfords are not specialists :)
