Don't go anywhere near this item. I have a Philips air-fryer and it's brilliant. My parents bought this and it's absolutely useless. Took 1 hour and a half to cook chips properly. Tried a few times but doesn't circulate the air properly so food doesn't cook right. That's why it's cheap because it's appalling. Get a tefal or Philips.
I just cooked chips in 30 mins with it. Best chips ever
30mins? I think if you sat on your fries with your butt cheeks qlenched that would be faster.

As that what we would called it up North, can I have a chip butty, love?:|

Not if theyve got "loads left" and can't even shift them at £15 no.

Been using it the last couple of hours seems on par with the Philips one

Can't go wrong for £15. I paid £90 for a breville ActiFry. Its good but I had it fail and replaced within a month and we didn't use it that much. Lots of people complain about their reliability. But the thing I like about it is it moves the contents around to cook evenly and quick. I think with these more basic ones you have to keep taking the basket out and shaking which increases the cooking time.

Woah crazy isn't it. Don't think I'll see a deal like this again

This is obviously very cheap for a reason. I got the Phillips back on the last black Friday deal and paid £49 I've used it several times a week since and it's brilliant.
#29
Gave the number you said. Still £30 in my local :( Was told they are not Wilko brand anymore but Daewoo? Not sure if that's better or not! Damn, I thought I had another Christmas present sorted then. Oh well, good find op

I have a similar generic cheap one and it cooks much faster than my main oven, your parents must have got a faulty one.

£30 in wilkos cardiff , still a bargain at that price tbh, our philips one died after 4 years and that model is now £220 (paid £100 originally)!!!!!!!!!!

These are very good, you must be doing something wrong if it takes more than 30 mins. Try plugging it in, you do need electricity as well as air.

I have returned this fryer as the chips tasted horrible. They were not cooked evenly and it took very long time. I will stick with my oven.
#36
I don't know how they get away with calling them air 'fryer', its a false description, you cant fry with air, thats called convection. These are essentially a convection oven in the shape of a deep fat fryer! whoever thought up this gimmick is a genius! :p
FRY
verb (used with object), fried, frying.
1.
to cook in a pan over direct heat, in fat or oil.
2.
Slang. to execute by electrocution in an electric chair.
verb (used without object), fried, frying.
3.
to undergo cooking in fat or oil.

what is the capacity with these?
Got the AirFryer from Amazon last summer and use it oads. Definitely got my money worth out of it. Just a shame it's limited capacity.
I think the AirFryer is 0.8kg or 2.2litres
