Jackal remote control from Air hogs, 3 channels for precision control, twin rotors for stability. Requires; 4xAA 1.5v batteries, batteries not included. Not suitable for children under 3 years as contains small parts.
This is definately the cheapest I have come across. Quality seems good too.

Doesn't have a gyro - i.e. no self stabilising. Better off with a 15quid one off ebay that does...

are you sure it was this one? it's just a noddy 3 chan non-gyro plastic one - this is about the going rate :)

can get a gyro one with a camera built in for 60quid these days...

You need a gyro in these things? It's made of polystyrene with a flywheel and balasts on the lower rotors! A gyro just uses more power!

anyone know of a cheapish (sub £80) remote control helicopter that can be flown outside?

I have one, and it's very hard to fly (by me anyway), but still fun. My son has better control of it though!
