Air Love 2 CD (latest album) @ HMV £3.99

Sixth studio album from the French electronic pop duo, their follow-up to 2007's 'Pocket Symphony'. Their first album to be recorded completely at their own Atlas Studio, it strips away the Orientalist elements that characterized their previous album, but otherwise continues in much the same vein. It has a very smooth, deliberately overproduced sound which brings to mind late 70s/early 80s pop as well as other modern retro-futurist acts such as Broadcast and Zombi.

I have Moon Safari - great album.

Will give this a go for the price.

They went downhill after 2001 (10 000 Hz Legend) - wouldn't touch this album not even at this price.

Pocket Symphony was a return to form IMO

It's not so much they went downhill...I still like all the other albums but this one was poor. Maybe I'm just getting old because I thought Zero 7's new album was horrible by comparison to the last ones.

Thats because most of the original members of Zero 7 have gone solo.

I might give that one a listen then.

Nah, this is the return to form after the fairly dull Talkie Walkie and Pocket Symphony. 10 000 Hz Legend was innovative, which always upsets people. Vigin Suicides is still their best (though I am in a group of 1 on this).

This is a great price for a good album. 10,000 HZ legend is my favourite though!

6th album !
I thought they disappeared after Moon Safari. Just like Bran Van 3000 !

Well, my copy arrived today. On first listen I'm impressed. Better than the last album (Pocket Symphony). Well worth £3.99 IMO.
