It'll be a fiasco like when they did it last year.
I think every single person had the seats in their basket then got binned off at Checkout :(

Cold for a second year running. Nice marketing ploy from Air NZ though.

I've flown Air NZ to NZ many times and think Singapore, Cathay and Qatar are just as good if not better - they have better fares far more often. Though being able to order drinks from your screen in economy is one advantage Air NZ has.

Agree with this. I was ordering all sorts to my seat! Great feature

Oooh I'll be making the most of that when I go to the Cook Islands next year. I've always wanted to fly with Air NZ since I saw their LOTR and Hobbit adverts.

Anyone going to try?

I managed to get this deal last year, went to LA and had a lovely time!
Some tips, you need to be as fast as possible, make sure you are on the site before 10am, spam refreshing, you don't have time to check dates, just grab the first week or two you see. Last year I went for the fare hold for an extra £25, you probably need to do this if you want a chance at getting the deal as this speeds up the process a lot. Good luck, my other half isn't interested this year so I won't be trying. :(

Didn't know the Hold Fare was an extra £25, I thought it was deducted from the final bill. Thanks for letting me know. Next year is expensive enough as it is...don't know if I should do it....

had them in my basket but sold from under me ...

I GOT IT!!

I did the 'Hold Fare' as it was the only way I knew to guarantee getting a ticket. I'm SO happy!!! I get to see my Sister in LA!!

Had them in my basket, clicked buy then sold out. I understand the hold fare premium cost, but I think they should either force you to use it or no-one can use it. Makes it fair. The tickets are £399 for that time, so with the hold fare fee, your eating into the savings.

It's only £25. You're still making a saving of £175!

That is true, but it misses the point of what madcal87 is getting at.

May as well quote the fare as £224 then.

I managed to snag this also via the hold fare. I didn't realise they don't deduct the £25 from the final price - which is annoying. Still a pretty good deal.

Does anyone know how much the skycouch upgrade would be on a pair of these tickets?
