Looked on the site and searched for carplan and air con but could not find it do you have a link please?
#5
got these in our store today !
banned#6
How do these work, where do you put it? I'm only asking as the title says aircon cleaner.
#7
You just put AC on full and on recirculate. Then Shake the can, press the button and it will empty the whole can in the air for 10 minutes - make sure windows are closed.... Can leave wet patches so might want to put some cloth down on carpet and nearby seats.
#8
you run the aircon on full, using the recirculate mode, and leave this in the car. It sprays its contents into the air which then circulates through the aircon, apparently cleaning it.

They dont really work, dont waste your pound.

Smells for about a day or too then nothing.

I've got to admit the above is true.

I bought one last week from Halfords (****!) and after 2 days of very little use it had returned to it's same state.

It's better to ignore the instructions.
Find where your pollen filter is, remove this, start engine, put A/C on lowest temp, fresh air (not recirculate) , fairly slow fan speed, empty the can into the pollen filter housing so it washes the evaporator and drains through the condensate drains onto the road, and then put in a new pollen filter.

Its not supposed to keep your car smelling fresh....
It cleans out the aircon and kills all the bacteria that breed in there.

Often all you need to do is replace the aircon pollen filter, you get rotting leaves and debris building up on it which starts to smell.

Load of crap, don't do this at all!
The reason why aircon does smell is because the system does not get used often enough and results in a build up in bacteria. Best thing to do is to either change your pollen filter or to use your aircon constantly for a few days. Don't waste your pound!
