Good deal these days. When I was a kid prices were:
Series 1 - 2/9 (14p)
Series 2 - 3/9 (19p)
Series 3 - 5s (25p)

I feel old now :)

Definately are, I mean have you tried asking for the disc jockey to play Suppers Ready in a discotheque lately? Dont bother, they just stare at you as if you are mad.

BTW didnt Boulton Paul end up making something banal like door knobs post WW2?

One regret as a kid, never really got into airfix models. Have a daughter too so no excuse to buy and play with them now either.

Ur never too old to do this stuff, its a shame the kids of today dont enjoy it... Watch james may on toy stories how he builds a 1:1 scale airfix spitfire its a good laugh:-)

Not entirely true, I was a little disappointed James May made no mention of the successful Warhammer market which shows model building is still very much alive - some people seem to spend a crazy amount of time building and painting their models. This machine costs a whopping £550, the figure/tank sitting alongside it are a few inches tall to give a rough idea of how tall the Reaver is:

Unfortunately I'm rubbish at modelmaking otherwise I'd like to have a go at an SR-71.

I used to love those little comic books think they where called Commando . If i remember the Defiant was a hopeless nightfighter that had no frontal wing mounted guns and a ridiculous turret that had to be operated by a 2nd person .
Oh yea and remember Johnny Red and Charlie Bourne from the Battle and Victor comics . ..... awesome .

I remember it being a sort of general construction company before its demise.... Doors springs to mind LOL.

Completely gone now derelict, then levelled for a massive redevelopment now called the riverside...

Though I think the Aero section left Norwich for the midlands somewhere?? Wolverhampton maybe? iono..
