I used to love these as a kid. Anyone stuck for a stocking filler for any age these are fantastic!

Paint is probably acrylic btw, which doesn't give the best finish, unless you are very skilled with the brush (and have a good brush). I prefer enamel, smooths over easier (but takes much longer to dry), especially given the time spent building it.

Which war is that? Is it the 1941 - 45 one that the US grudgingly, finally involved itself in, or the 1939 - 45 one that we had?
