Cheapest DVD player I've seen for a while. Probably pretty rubbish...but good enough for the kid's room or spare room!

Region 2, Pal/NTSC....and it even comes with a remote control!

-----------------------

3% Quidco as well I think.

How can it be region 2 AND "support NTSC"? Does this mean you can simply switch it to Region 1?

that will be for region free ntsc discs. quite a lot of asian movies are of this sort.

damn this was the first sensible post about this item.

back on track....for info this will also upscale to 1080p via scart :w00t:
#7
Think the ntsc support means it will output to an american/european type tv not play region 1 disks ? although i might be wrong
#8
does it play avi/divx files?? If not, personally I'd prefer to pay a tenner more for one that does. Voted hot though as it's probably the cheapest player around.

NTSC is just a format (like PAL), it doesn't really have anything to do with the region codes.

Can this make you go back in time?
#11
Does this support HD media streaming across a 56k dial up?
#12
How can u upscale through scart wen the cables are the red White yellow ones. Don't think so. Are we back to the time machine

Love the description... "Cheapest DVD player I've seen for a while. Probably rubbish"

Obviously highlighting the major advantages of this incredibly fine tuned piece of engineering.

got one of these for my daughter.
remote control problems.
press play and it turns the telly off,
press fast forward, sound goes up, rewind, sound goes down.
so £12.98 and a free universal remote control :w00t:
#16
It might say Aitro on the outside....its actually SONY internals..FACT.
