Yeah probably. They aren't extremely difficult to drive, but with a smartphone it might be a bit quiet :)

How would these be for TV/Movies? Currently using steelseries Siberia V2 or an old set of AKG 512's.( I think!)

They're good for movies. Wide soundstage and comfortable.

Had a pair of these for a few years. Absolutely fine for everyday listening. Comfy, good sound across the spectrum and no extra amp or drivers needed for phone, tablet or laptop. HOT!

If you listen to brick walled music then probably won't need an extra amp :D

Ha! Ive been a pro musician for 23 years (firstly a performer and now a producer/composer). I can assure you that I listen to a wide range of music (on these headphones as well as other mediums) and all of it - from the most naturally recorded and processed classical and jazz to pumping EDM and dance music - sounds absolutely fine on these without an additional driver. Just my opinion though! ;)

A bit quiet here. But that's my opinion :)
