how do these compare to the M50's?
I hear there's not much between them and that getting a good fit around the head with these is crucial.

Audio-Technica ATH-50 scored 4th only beaten by headphones with twice the rrp, scoring highly for comfort.
Sadly AKG K550 not reviewed here though reviews elsewhere are great.

I have a pair, they're great. Better than some more expensive shures and ferrari branded headphones I've had. They're not great for using about and about though as you get a bit of cable noise and you'll share what you're listening rather too well.

I'm interested in the K845BT which this shop have for £139. Anyone tried them?

Spend half as much and get some Aurvana's, best bang for buck cans you get your mitts on.

I had the Creative Aurvana Lives. Very good headphones that I got for sub £50 years ago.

Replaced with Sony ZX700 as the Aurvanas weren't available at a good price then.

Scoring highly for comfort?!!! Wow, really?! Sound wise these two are nothing alike btw. unless you detest bass don't touch the K550, people will tell you otherwise, but they're wrong.

I have a pair of these headphones. They are absolutely brilliant. Very comfy, great sound quality and a well made cable. I wouldn't use them on the go though as the cable is rather long. Great for home use though and a great price here!

I have these and they are the best things I have had on my ears. Excellent reproduction of true sound from drivers unrivalled in the headphone world

If you want ridiculous excessive bass, you can always buy some Beats by Dre I suppose :)
