I got these in blue when on offer at £23.99 a few weeks back, now the red are available at an even better price. Build quality is good, certainly on par with other similar AKG products. Bear in mind that they are on the smallish and more compact side and are close fitting, so if you want a headphone that stays firmly clamped to your head, these are definitely worth considering, but don't expect to be able to bend the spring much to make them looser as the headband will most likely crack (and this maybe why some people report poor build quality). Typically on Amazon at £40-£50, around £70 when got direct from AKG, and was around £100 when first released. If red is not your colour, they're also available in blue, black, pink, orange and green, but the other colours are all are currently pricier than the red.

When I listed this deal they were £22.58, now dropped to £22.25

Read the 2 star reviews, poor and weak construction plus ear pads fall apart. avoid

got blue ones when last on offer here , build quality/sound is fine for £23 but wouldn't buy them at £50!! as plenty of decent headphones at that price.

Most Amazon reviewers seem to find they have a great sound but are flimsy and a bit small. So no need to further expand my already excessive headphone collection with these! (phew)

These are great sounding headphones for under £23 but I found that the clamping force on my ears made them very uncomfortable to wear after listening to just one album. Unfortunately because of this I returned them.

I got these in blue at this price last month.

Build quality is far superior than anything in this price range. I've had Sony, JVC and store own brands and they are absolutely nothing on the build quality of these.

Bass is fantastic, other areas of sound are good for the price.

Problem with these are that they are very tight, I can hear my heart beat in them when there is no sound.

They don't hurt my ears but if i've had them on for around 3 hours + the pressure starts to hurt the area just behind my temples.

Would these work with PS4?

I use these on PS4 for sound, but any headphone can.

They recognise them as a mic but as far as i can tell they don't actually work.

Darn it, was hoping the mic would also be fully functional. Thanks anyway.

I found it tight too. But I found a solution.

You can bend the top of the frame till the two rubber bands pop out of the frame, higher than the surface of the arch. Then they will stay there and will not return to their initial position. After this, wearing them is so much more comfortable.

Could upload a photo when I get home if anyone is interested.

There nearly all seem to clamp your head tight ,think the designers take there que from the Spanish inquisition.

awful headphones, fell apart after 6 weeks of use.avoid and cold.

AKG seem to be trading off past glories with their lower priced headphones. Probably worth all of £20, no more than that

Looks like I missed it - would love a pair for train commute.

Great headphones. I consider myself to have a normal sized head and they do not feel over tight. Ive used them for over an hour twice a day when commuting since they were last advertised on here and had no issues with them what so ever.
