Totally agree! :) This game rocks!

it is a very good game, the atmosphere when playing is awesome, very involving.

my only niggle is that the combat gets a bit repetitive after a while, but the excellent storytelling makes up for it.

i picked up the collectors edition for 40 quid when it came out, and that's a very nice package too, but this price for the game on its own is a steal.

get it bought so Microsoft commission a sequel ;)

(though lets hope it doesn't take 8/9 years to make like this one!)

Yeah I know, not sure if the normal version includes the free code for the first DLC spisode or not though. I actually only got round to completing it last night, after Red Dead kinda sucked me in for a while lol.

Gonna replay it on a harder difficulty setting soon though, found it a bit easy on the standard setting.

I'd go for this, but I can;'t help but feel that given the short time it's been out, it will go down further within a similar timescale to Bioshock 2. Great price if you held off at full price and can resist no longer. I shall hold out until I finish my other titles.

You've got a point there, I've mainly heard good things about it but I guess maybe its sales were hampered a little by the release of Red Dead the week after. (Which is an awesome game) Been after a good survival horror type game for a while tho and I'm hoping this fits the bill, so I decided £17.99 was low enough for me :)

A very decent price, in my opinion. Don't forget there's extra value in this over buying second hand as it contains a code for the first DLC which is due out later this month (21st, I believe) and that will be worth 800MS points!

Wow, I got the collectors addition for afew quid extra, but yeah, this game is just amazing. I was playing it all last night and didnt go to sleep, luckily i have a supply of poundshop pro plusses for such eventualitys. This is easily the most original, most engrossing, very visually impressive, very well put together. I think this is possibly the best game of this generation so far, and I have a ps3 aswell and ive played uncharted 1 and 2. I would say that if you liked resident evil 4 you will love this. I havent played heavy rain yet but I doubt that it will better alan wake. Its a shame that they timed the release with RRR, because it deserves to sell really well.

I think it deserves a 9.5 rating rather than 8.5. Hell its better than GTA 4 and that got a 10. But I guess it isnt as universally appealing as there are alot of numptie gamers that just want online death matches and want to just mindlessly drive about or shoot and skip the cutscenes. Simply put if you have a 360 then buy this NOW.
