Played this last week after picking it up for £10. Definetley worth it, something a bit different from the usual survival horror games, and a pretty interesting story. The claim "Freely explore a 100 square kilometre town" is a stretch, as it's a very linear game. Also a pain how you lose your weapons pretty much every 10 minutes, but despite these issues, well worth £8, as new copies come with a code for an additional episode.

Good price, awesome game. Massively under-rated. Have some heat

Eh? This was one of the most hyped games of the last decade =/

Yes but it went quietly post-release, I don't think it'll be on the lips of every casual gamer. Very good game, I would certainly recommend it for this price - even if you sell it on at the end!

Great game, worth every pound of the 8. Do we know if the DLC chapter 1 is included in this copy? The game itself is good but short.

Well, that's because it wasn't very good compared to the hype... it was billed as being better than it was. The atmospheric side of it was good, but the gameplay itself was pretty dull.

Good spot.
Just checked on some reviews and it scores between 8 and 9 pretty much everywhere, going to stop at Asda on the way home I think :p

Unbelievable I just bought this bought this from Play last week for £10 to find no DLC card in there whatsoever. Now I'm having to contact Remedy (the developer) and fight Play's rubbish customer service to get one!

True, but like the other guy said, post-release didn't give the game justice. What i'm saying is it deserved a better reception.

I played the first level and thought it was carp. Should I give it a second chance?

I found it to be poor and very repetitive - only a personal opinion mind but definitely worth 8 quid!!

No it wasn't. It's an excellent game. The only reason it didn't do well at release was that Red Dead Redemption came out at the same time.

Founding this to be a bit mediocre, but worth it for sub £10.

Atmosphere is good, but the narration in this game is appalling - trying to be Stephen King and being exceptionally cringe worthy. Story itself seems decent, but I'm only about a quarter of the way through. Graphics are good, but spoiled by last gen character animation in it's cut scenes.

I'd say it's worth a shout for something different.

I'd agree. The story plods along, but really picks up in the 5th and 6th episodes. If you like Lost or similar weird trippy mysteries, you'll probably enjoy it. Unlike lost it answers most of the mystery it sets up (and I say that as a Die Hard lost fan...)

Yeah, because people can only buy one game.

What a load of b*llocks.

Has anyone played both Alan Wake and Deadly Premonition? Got any opinions on it? I've just finished playing through DP and loved it! Reckon good old Al Wake might be a tad dull in comparison...
