Buy a Sansa Clip instead and use micro sd cards for storage - little bit pricier but a better investment in the long term in my opinion.

Depends what you class as longterm, my clip lasted just over the 12 month warranty

These sort of things are good for running and listening to music or gym Etc. Was recently on the lookout for one until I found my shuffle.
