I wasn't aware Panasonic or Sony sold TV's under a different name.

Seriously, it is a good price, but probably better spending a few quid more and getting a 'known' brand ( I speak from previous Alba ownership).
I don't know about Panasonic or Sony but my Foehn & Hirsch (some daft ebuyer own brand) 37" 1080p lcd tv which was a lot cheaper than any big makes at the time, is infact a rather good quality LG one (forget the exact model but it was highly rated). It's worth looking into to see if you can find out the manufacturers as you find the screens are often all made in the same factory as some of the bigger brands then shoved in a custom casing with different inputs etc. I'm not saying buy a cheapie brand outright, just look into it first.
