Review from T3 mag gives it the thumbs up
Everyone loves a bargain, but rarely can you get a top-quality product and still have enough change for the bus fare home. While you wouldn't quite call this Alba the pinnacle of design excellence, it's cheap as chips and, like a can of Ronseal, it does exactly what it says on the tin. For your spare change, you get a digital radio with top-notch reception and an easy-to-use interface. It's also got an analogue FM tuner sitting alongside the digital one, and you can run it from batteries. On the downside, it does feel very plasticky - especially the buttons, which are overly sticky - and the sound from the speaker is particularly tinny. For the price, however, it's a bit of a bargain.

The way Edi phrased his reply I thought that they were also available at the store called "In-Store" (Formerly Poundstretcher)

Never knew PoundStretcher is now called that  Very Confusing :santa:

Went into the local Wilkinson, couldn't see any so enquired. They looked at me like I was from Pluto and said "No, we don't sell radios, Sir".

:(

Managed to get one from Morley, Leeds. It was the last one on an aisle display with lots of other stuff. Took me about 15mins to track it down. Just what I was after for my partner as she works from home in her little office and her radio has just packed up. She'll be chuffed.

Thanks v much :santa:

"Two-pounds-fifty strecher" doesn't have quite the same ring to it, does it?

I wonder what Poundland are going to do when inflation catches up with them? Will they re-brand or just sell cheaper products?
