We bought one of these from Argos last year for £10 to take on hols. It done the job and was loud enough for the pool side. We use it for camping now. Excellent find. :)

Just got this. Most stores should have about 10 or more but it could sell out or the price could go up soon. The other bigger Alba speakers which had bad reviews have already gone up to £19.99. This has good reviews in general and is portable. The power can be fed via 4 x AAA (get 2 cheap rechargeables at £1 stores) or via a USB2DCin cable (supplied) that can be fed into a PC or a cheap USB wall charger. A third way is to use an old cheap variable DC power adapter (6 Volts) you might have around from Radio Shack days.

The design is sort of spacey 70's Italian pop, iz nice! There is a little drawer stand thingy which slides under the front. My Zen sits in it loose but good. The volume is not good for ghetto blasting, so don't buy it and PM me for refunds if you have already deafened yourself. The volume is more than OK for hols, commuting, normal use around the house or like me chilling in bed listening to mind expanding lectures or just chilling with my beaches on some Balearic beats. Glad I bought two. Don't ask me any questions as I am busy because I got an education before it became a privilege. Or wait for someone else to buy it as it's only £3.74 you cheap *$@~!"£|¬)^&s.

Yeah I saw one for £1.99 at one and they were doing an iPod for £5.49 too, just outside Sichuan. Hopefully there will be an Argos near your nick soon.

got one y.day. Quite a good, loudish sound from them, and much higher quality look/feel to it than i expected (...it's an Alba..). great find, great deal.Fits my Monte, Mp3 player and small Roberts radio( a Big sound boost to that!) Output is 2* 1 Watt; and 3.5mm jack plug. Comes with Usb/Jack lead- so you can run it from laptop etc, or add input from other sources... Buy one, I say:) HEAT
