Personally I would never use Orange as a phone company - however - Orange Wednesdays seems to be funded by the people who mistakenly believe it is.

The price of the Alcatel OT E227 on Orange Pay As You Go is £4.50 from CPW.

The required top up is a tenner.

Quidco brings you back a fiver - so if Quidco does not pay out it cost you £14.50 for a tenners credit - but if it does pay - then £9.50 for a tenner to use on Orange Wednesdays - also to get a second pizza free at Pizza Express - and any other offers they decide to add during this credit crunch.

Don't even think about using it as a mobile phone - its on Orange - and you will just be disappointed with anything other than Orange Wednesdays.

Additionally - the Alcatel OT E227 is likely to be unlocked - so you have a phone to take on holiday and use with a local sim.

If texting the code for Orange Wednesdays to friends to use - remind them to store the name for your new Orange Wednesdays number as 241 - so if they ask to see who sent the text - as it seems some do this now - the correct sender or 241 will show. (Store 241 as the name rather than Joe Blogs etc)
