o2 PAYG is only 19.99, no top-up required when buying online- did it recently
banned#2
same as above o2 dont need top up

tho o2 list them under tariffs they dont make you buy one, they just showing you what you get with those plans

and really i dont know why any of the mobiles networks (that all lock the phones they sell) make you buy credit, true you could be buying from them becos they cheaper and you can unlock cheap and go to other network or to sell them, but i would think 80% of people would be buying from the network direct to use the phone with the network direct, i get why resaler agros and such add top up but not the network directly

just like most everyone else knows to buy from CPW (or one of they groups) for either payg or contracts since all they phones are unlocked and between the 7 or so in they group, they normally always the best deal

Bought this last week from O2 for a tenner, unlocked on Ebay within 5 minutes of receipt for 99p.
Ii really is like new and a very nice little phone, for what it is. (Pity only 3G though)

it was the Pixi4 5" which was £19.99 last week, hence the confusion here? https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/phones/alcatel/pixi4-5-like-new/#contractType=payasyougo
That IS now OOS sadly, but the local O2 shop staff told me they expect to have available more *like new" in the new year for the same price.

No requirement to buy top-up with the subject o2 option = true. CPW phones are supplied natively unlocked = true. Opinion on motivation for any one person to buy a specific device = conjecture. CPW offering best deal = often..

Correct. As previously noted as true: if you want a natively unlocked handset, buy from CPW.
