Surely you can only buy so much crap food.

75 pounds worth is a bit much though.

If that's your attitude what you doing in store, or even this thread come to think of it?

£75 to spend? Might be a bit much for me, but a good saving. Some of their Xmas grub is lovely!

£75 as much as I love Aldi, I am sure there I won't find this amount of shopping!!!!!
#13
I spend on average £50 a week there of mostly fruit, veg & meat. I don't think I could do a £75 shop there although what I get would probably be not far off that in one of the major supermarkets.

voted hot, and as much as I do shop in Aldi and Lidl, I'll not be spending £75 in one go...

You don't ever buy any of the specials...tools, clothes, fishing gear, tablets, household items and electricals, etc...
as well as a food shop....Always look when I'm in there... for the specials and reduced specials...to use as stocking fillers etc

Yes, same here with the £10 off £50 last week.

Got to £42 in the trolley loaded & so dropped 2 cases of Becks in for what was £2.

We'd struggle to go with £75 on foods but will make a go of it I suppose.

lol no thanks Aldi, most of the store-brand food there is crap cant even compare to Lidl ,aldi is 500yds from my house ,yet I still drive extra 3 to go to Lidl, well I guess its better then the Tesco/asda but still no thanks.

Think most people would be hard pushed to spend £75 in aldi unless picking up power tools or electronics but good deal if that's your regular spend!!
#27
Thank you OP!

I also struggle with spending more than £40 in one shop, but can always stock up on nappies and wipes thanks! oh and Xmas booze of course!!

Are all those people who struggle to spend £40,£50 etc teetotal ?

Aldi have some decent wines and other alcohol (1 L bottles of Gin) etc

At Christmas difficult not to spend £75 would have thought....

I normally spend about £60 so I'll be throwing in a few extra goodies in this weekend (booze) for Christmas

We're a family of 5 and I can feed us easily for a £50 shop in Aldi for a week! This will come in handy though for that 'Christmas shop'
#32
They've got a deal on a HD Tablet on next week ...
#33
It will be hard to spend that mch there.

Combine this with the Jim Beam (£12.89 a bottle) deal, just posted and you could get 6 bottles of Jim Beam for £62.89, or £10.48 a bottle.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Hic!

But surely the only reason people shop at aldi/Lidl is because they are on tight budgets and can't afford luxuries like wine and so on, so for the majority it won't be a case of not been able to spend £75, it will be not being able too afford to spend £75 (although in this case technically you would only spend £60 plus the price of the paper)

Good deal.

Nah, the kids are hyper enough without adding in food colouring!

Extra treats for Christmas I spend between 40 and 55 in a normal week so 75 at Christmas shouldn't be too difficult might have to use my mental maths skills adding it up as I go along
