I purchased the set for under £10, wanting to replace my hedge shears but looked around at local DIYs shops and seeing them for £10 for one, this deal is excellent as you also get a lopper and pruning shears too.

Limited stock at all Aldis.

Seems like a good deal. Might be as useful as those cheap spanners from poundland - which would be stronger if they were made from Lurpak.

Cheap but you get what you pay for. These cheapie sets come up every year as a value own brand in Asda/Tesco etc too. they don't last long and go blunt really quickly and the plastic bits break away after a couple of uses. OK for a few months if you really can't afford anything else.

Yeah, that's why you usually get a 3 year warranty with most Aldi tools, because they like replacing them for you.......

the hedgecutters look ok but the loppers arent geared so its going to be a struggle getting through thicker branches.ok for the price though

You can get nearly the same set plus an additional item for the same price in asda. Can't find it online, but is in 2 of the stores I have been in.
