I don't know how it works in other stores but in my local store it sells out reasonably quickly. If you can get there on Thurday, I'd suggest you go on Thursday.

the best stuff goes quickly or in the most common sizes and then the rest just sits there on the shelves for weeks.

extra large is always the most popular because everything is so small.

They usually put the new specials out the night before and so far they've never refused to sell. Just don't take the pizz and load up a trolly.

Good shout. I'd hadn't considered that. I'll pop in on Wed evening.

Thanks - been looking for some of this stuff. Heat added.

i bought a load of this stuff either last year or about 18 months ago (cant quite remember). the gloves are invaluable (well padded), though are wearing slightly. the jacket is amazing!
#9
Thanks for the heads up. I've still got a pair of Aldi gloves going strong after 4 years.

More than once a year, I went down with my brother just after christmas. Very good quality clothing, don't be put off because they're not branded by adidas or similar.
#11
Yep H&R added just got some sports glasses with interchangable lenses £3.79 saves knackerin my £40 bloc's when i hit a tree etc.

Picked up some gloves and they seem good value for money.

Has anyone tried one of these mountain bike saddles? I know they are on the heavy side, as expected at this price, but are they comfy enough?

I am only after one for my commuting bike. My proper mountain bike has a WTB Rocket V.

I've had some good cycling stuff from Aldi, but I can't see me buying one of these::shock:

I was only mentioning that saddle as a point of reference for comparing the Aldi one. Perhaps by mentioning the saddle I am used to, someone could advice if this is a good budget saddle of a similar feel.

I was hardly boasting that I had a £14.99 saddle, LOL!!

Saw one of these in store today, and it looks no better!!! The red one is not too bad though.

HOT

Went in and got the last handlebar mounted ashtray, the girl said I was lucky to get it - as it had been returned by someone who had 1 1/8 inch bars. Worked out lucky for me though.

when does this expire?

LOL. I cycle to work every day and can't see the need for special gloves, socks(?), a rear frame bag that looks pockets would be more affective. As for the 'cycling underwear' and shorts....

I do wonder who this stuff is aimed at and why it's so popular.

No offence to the OP as if you want this stuff it's a good deal :/

Hope you don't come off if you aren't wearing gloves. Last time I dropped mine I wore through a pair of Lidl gloves to my skin, If it had been my skin... ouch.

Concrete butt and hands of leather. Who needs cycling clothing anyway?! :o

when does this expire?

It'll expire whenever they run out of modestly priced cycling y-fronts :-D

I find gloves useful riding off-road. On a daily commute I dont always bother. But if you do fall off, you do always put your hand down. They do offer another layer of protection

The gloves are really really good quality, comfortable and look nice. The computer works a treat it has lots of features, and the frame bag is also really good quality, looks nice. I also went for a seat as I was after a gel one, but they seemed a little hard still, even tho they were gel seats, so I didn't bother. If anyone was already interested in these items, i would deffo reccommend, saves you £££'s compared to Halfords or whatever and just as good if not better quality.

Many thanks for this deal, just saved me a fortune. I picked up 2x gloves, 3x socks, cycle computer, 2x water bottles, micro pump, rear frame bag, tool bag and spiral lock and I haven’t even got a bike yet!

I'm just imaging you getting the daily commute on the train with all your cycling gear on. Maybe they should have put a sign up, "not suitable for train journeys":p

Agreed....But as you say the seats seemed a little hard. I went for a gel one in another bike shop for £12. It feels much softer.

The rest of the gear seems top quality!!
