Or maybe people who aren't afraid of work and are contributing to one of the world's most successful economies? The Indian approach to agriculture puts ours to shame.

Maybe - but fly them from India and still sell them for 69p! I thought driving most of our fruit and veg up from Spain was daft enough. No, I'm not making a 'green' point, jusy amazed they'd do that. Still, last asparagus I saw in Tesco came from Chile or Peru.

The grapes come in containers by sea not air hence why they are cheaper and for your information Peru is the only country in the world to have a year round production of asparagus with out any seasons.

Also the greenhouse gases to transport goods grown from Spain to come toEengland are the same as salads grown in greenhouse in the UK !!!!!

Thanks for the info - the only place I've found on the net that tells us what Aldi's Super 6 offers are when they start.
I just wonder why Aldi keep it secret for days before putting it on their website - if it's so that you have to visit the store to find out, then for me at least it doesn't work

So you don't stop buying the 'full price' stuff in advance of the offer maybe?

I do buy from these Aldi offers but very selectively. Much of the produce is pretty poor, eg some of the most tasteless tomatoes I've ever tried and most are fairly awful. I find Lidl have a wider range of good produce at low prices (eg 39p for full cucumbers amongst the current ones).

For this coming week starting 2nd May, every offer is staying the same except for the grapes which are changing to 500g of red seedless grapes instead of the white.
