Local organic producer, thank you very much
(I don't want 2 week old veg, that has lost 45% of its nutrients)
The issue being I don't want to eat the whole packet in 2 days a lot of the time... And as mentioned above, the older the fruit and veg is (Aldi's often appears to be end of life), the less nutrients it has. As I primarily eat them for the nutrients (I'd be much happier with a plate of chocolate, cake and biscuits!), I'd personally rather buy them elsewhere for slightly more (Aldis is often a lot cheaper than the other supermarkets, but not often less than independent greengrocers) and get more benefit from them.
Hey Myles, if you aren't interested in it seems bizarre that you are commenting on it repeatedly.
I think your overpriced organic produce is affecting your ability to think sensibly.
Possibly the stupidest comment you could make!
May be apart from Morrison's, the best supermarket for fruit & veg.
U CAN???????????
Those of you who go on and on about organic veg need to do a bit of research.
You've got to be joking right? The fruit and veg in Morrisons in Bishop Auckland has been poor for years - very short shelf life and, IMHO, very poor quality. Having said that, I have been in some other Morrisons' stores that have the new cooling systems and was very impressed with the fruit and veg there. Don't have a problem with Aldi produce - I love a bargain as long as the quality is there. Heat for the OP. :-)
