Three bird roast now in at Aldi in the Freezer section, 1.5kg, is Turkey, chicken and duck all wrapped up together includes stuffing. £9.99

Also for those unable to get the morrisons deal on the Turkey Crown Aldi have their Turkey Crown's also in the freezer weighing between 1.8 to 2.4 kg also £9.99.

I've read very good reviews about these over the years so thought I'd try one, currently in my freezer. I managed to find one weighing 2.2kg.

I was tempted by the three bird roast but am not keen on stuffing so left it. The lady at the till said they usually sell out very quickly as they are that popular.

I believe so, I've never bought one but I recall reading on MSE that the price had gone up.

Bought these last year and year before and fairly sure that they were £9.99 each time - anyway they are really lovely!

Bought 2 of these at £9.99 last time around but sorry to say swmbo & myself found them to be rather yuckie! to much stuffing in them overpowered the taste of the meat(s)

Still a good price, but we had this a year or so ago, and it was horrid. Shame really as we were looking forward to it, but we couldn't eat it, just tasted wrong.

Fool you for not checking them first then
you could have pointed it out to an
assistant. Maybe you just don't like Aldi!

i also bought 2 of these last year, never again, not good!! imho that is. the flavours all seem to roll into one with the stuffing and you cannot identify which of the meats you are actually eating.

you must have been pretty unlucky, i personally find Aldi to be the best supermarket for fruit and veg for both price and freshness. Tesco are awfully bad

I wont buy any fresh food at Aldi any more as it doesn't seem to last very long at all.

But I tried one of these roasts last year and it was LOVELY

I was in a rush with the grapes lol. I just trusted them to sell decent stuff!!! The boxes had been opened and refilled with the crap ones in the box to fill it up. Bloomin bad thing to do as the ones off the vine rot!!! (all furry lol)
The onions were bad inside so i couldnt have noticed if i tried
Customer services were truly awfull

I never buy mouldy grapes, or onions for that matter. It's false economy.

To be honest, I think Aldi is great for quality, but I have had occasions where stuff didn't last until its best before date. When I buy meat or milk from them, I always deduct a couple of days from the date just to be on the safe side. I've also found chicken at the back of the refrigerator that was frozen (defrosting for when they rotate their stock) but the packaging said "freezable" (hence you'd be freezing it for the 2nd time).

Saying that, I still shop there as I generally find their quality great for the price, but I only buy meat and chicken if I'm using it in the next couple of days and I don't go off the best before date..

I bought this last year and tbh thought it was fowl :) I usually love the food from Aldis, can't go wrong for the price you pay, but this tastes too much of overpowering stuffing, so the meat is unrecognisable.

Aldi quality for fresh produce seems to be much more dependent on the local manager than other stores. The 2 in the town I live in have aways been terrible but the one near where I work in the next town is fine.

The one in Cambridge has got a LOT better in the last few months.

The three bird roasts are very nice and a wonderful deal.

The range of christmas chocolates, cakes etc is amazing this year.

Agreed. All Veg. etc. @ Aldi and Lidl is of poor quality, and NO date stamps!. Three Bird Roast is excellent.

These are good, but I have a larger family.

Do Aldi sell the hamster stuffed inside a goat stuffed inside a cow ?:p
#25
Not a deal, as they have had these all year at this price in our local store.
Also they were much better a few years ago, they seem to have cut down on meat content and upped the stuffing.
