i think alessi is avilable in john lewis but can be wrong. good price but does not like the knifes in this set.
#5
Scorchio hot from me, Alessi stuff is expensive normally. The quality and finish of their stuff is generally very high, but the style may not be to all tastes.
#6
dont think these have a black handle arent they grey? as there is another product at the bottom of the page with black handles
#7
Odds are that your order will be cancelled but great price if you get them.

Most orders like this get cancelled I'm afraid. I tried to buy a very similar deal last year and a few days later I got an email saying it was going t be fulfilled. You may be lucky but don't bank on it.

Carlo Alessi
Carlo Alessi was born in Granerolo (Verbania) in 1916, studied technical design at the OMAR institute in Novara and, at an early age worked in the metal workshop set up by his father, Giovanni, in 1921. From the mid-thirties until the mid-forties, he designed many Alessi works including the “Ottagonale”, “Scalini”, “Cilindrica” and “Bombé'” series. In the fifties, he became managing director of the company bringing with him a new international dimension and began working with new external designers. He was president of Alessi S.p.A until 2009, when he passed away.

Surely you can cancel? (I hope!) Otherwise you'll have to send back within 7 days for a refund. Or maybe you could refuse delivery?

This thread reminds me of the what is onkyo thread.

If this is honoured by amazon then it's a 1000+•c deal thread.
#23
Six of the tea spoons in this design is £24 by themselves!

Order gone through fine. Just sit and wait for (possible) despatch.
Hats off to BobbyT64

The Alessi official site still has them for a combi-price of around £300
and I know how expensive Alessi stuff usually is, so fingers crossed.

Alessi is well known for funky / innovative / unusual design. Any arty farty modernist person will know the brand.

Their orange juicer (the one that looks like spider) is very known example of their design ethos.

Interesting design. Anyone actually used them? How balanced do they feel when in use?
#36
£92 elsewhere seems to be cheapest I can find. Good deal.

Alessi is a very fine Italian brand, with some wonderfully designed kitchenware and have commissioned works from some of the greatest designers (Stark et al).
Their cutlery designs are fantastic and are available from selected retailers including Selfridges and design specialist stores.
This is a stunningly great price!
