Yes they're reliable, I've been odering many items from them. Delivery isn't long but for me it's about two weeks.

That sounds like a really good price for the specs.

Yes it is. This also has 3GB of RAM. Ideal for gaming and christmas is also coming up!

i submitted an order with them for boxes on the 4/11 and they still haven't shipped it yet. They can be patchy at best

Their is no official firmware for an S912 chipset and Android 6.0. Much better with an AFTV at this price point.

What is Kodi like?

Is it clunky and a lot of faffing about to play films?

Also does it have to be updated every so often to keep it working?

Thanks Mark.

Kodi is great. Just install a good build like Pulse CCM.Hot deal , I've used Gearbest for years with no issues

yes, it takes time 2 learn how it works, addons stop working and new ones appear pretty much daily for live sports it's not very stable I've been using it for 10+ years now , you could just add a build plenty of information on the internet

+1 last 3or4 items I've ordered have been 11-14 days. standard shipping.
as long as it isn't a pre order item.

If you load a build like pulse for kodi
can you add extra addons when they become available?

Aren't they 50% more expensive than this, which moves them outside of this price point?

No it's not. Amazon Fire TV is the Apple of Android. Costly and Limited. At least this box gives you freedom of true Android. And with 2.0ghz octacore 3gb ram you can't go wrong.

You don't even need Kodi. For movies just install MoviesHD or something and it takes away the faffin of Kodi

Kodi can be quite straight forward when set up.

You could just install a build that will add the video add-ons (what you use to look for movies/tv shows).

Here's the tutorial I used to set up my firestick

The specs appear to be very good on this box. 3gb of RAM will certainly make watching films an enjoyable experience once you have a decent Internet connection.

Be mindful that customs duty will have to be paid on top of this price, especially if you choose DHL or similar shipping and should anything go wrong with the device, you'll have to ship it back to China at your own expense.

Gifts can also be subject to custom duty too. Let me know if Gearbest send you a second one or cancel your order.
