Only £12.90 0n Amazon, decent price though.

Yeah just noticed that amazon dropped their price as well to try and stay competitive. They were at £17.99 before
#4
bargain - thanks!
#5
Thanks, just ordered!

I'm ashamed to say out of all these films I've only seen Psycho, and I'm 31, shame on me, guess I better get this!

superb box set-heat added

Picked this up in Telford today, great price. They also had Lost Complete Box Set for £45 and the complete Fools & Horses for £40.

"Rope" is the only of Hitchcock's films I actually enjoyed (apart from "Psycho" of course)...

9% cashback with Quidco. Thanks for the bargain!
#11
Heat added, and I ordered one from Tesco Entertainment (part of The Hut Group anyway) rather than Amazon as I got a few pence from Quidco and a few clubcard points on top of the 90p saving. Every penny counts ;)

I was about to order as I'm going through the imdb top250, but i've already seen the "good" ones...
The Birds/ Family Plot/ Frenzy/ The Man Who Knew Too Much/ Marnie/ Rear Window/ Saboteur/ Shadow of a Doubt/ Topaz/ Torn Curtain/ The Trouble With Harry/ Rope/ Vertigo/ Psycho

Read Window, Rope, Vertigo, Psycho, and shadow of a doubt are the only ones in the top250 and i've seen them already... damnit.
great value though!!
I needed north by north west, rebecca and Dial M for Murder... can't please everybody ;)

A good price. Thanks.

He was a great director but the scripts and plots are absolute rubbish. There really isn't much to enjoy about most of these movies in 2011 unless you're a movie pseud.

they haven't aged well, and the good ones have had so many "tributes" made that you know what's going to happen anyway without watching :)
Rear Window just dragged for me tbh...
Vertigo was great but I haven't seen Psycho since i was 10, so i think it was somewhat lost on me

Just to add (as I seem to do whenever this product comes up!) that, if this is the boxset I think it is, some of the films are in the wrong aspect ratio.
#17
Wow this is a bargain. Some amazing films in there. Hot!

Rope is fantastic.

Any Tesco shareholders reading, don't worry you've not been sold to an unknown company that struggles to make money.

TheHut simply run the front and backend of TE.

Hot stuff have watched rear window, shadow of a doubt, vertigo, rope and saboteur countless times, love his attention to detail and he certainly knew how to pick a leading lady ;)

Heat added. Perfect present for OH, and knowing how much trivia surrounds Hitchcock movies, it should be fun to watch these (eg he quite likes to appear in the films himself; so watch out for a random passer by or someone in the background ...)

Only seen a couple of his films ...

Heat for a brilliant find. Am I the only one though who regards Hitchcock's suspense films (although undoubtedly revolutionary in the day), a little slow and superceded now? That doesn't apply to Psycho of course which is still great, and Vertigo was OK too.
#25
The man who knew too much is my fave, Que sara sara by Doris Day just makes the film! Hot.

Recently watched frenzy for the first time recently and really enjoyed it, pity north by north west isn't in this set
#27
Good find sir! Just bought it!

The website is no longer a Hut Group 'frontend', Tesco started running that themselves recently, but the stock is still supplied by The Hut as far as i'm aware?
I wasnt trying to start a stock scare for Tesco shareholders X)
