what is wrong with posting the good ones in a sale with a lot in it?

I certainly don't have time to plough through pages and pages of stuff just incase there's 1 I like.

3 years ago I thought Alicia was cool and sophisticated modern soul. Not sure now. Some things get cheesier with age!

Her opinions on gangsta rap being an invention of the government to get black guys killing each other hasn't helped my opinion of her that's for sure!

Hi,normally if someone posts, say 'Tesco deals',you get its been voted cold because you havn't at least linked to a paticular item. Then you get this happening ie multiply links to multiply items in the deal.Or in this case, pointed to just a link to deal. Both get knocked by the pros, you can't win :):)
Basically someones going to get you, should you post a deal or shouldn't you,the 10 million dollar question:w00t:

Cheers BOB

Woah! AMAZING price for TWO top-quality albums. Easily worth £2 just for Alicia's cover of Prince's How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore.

Great find, worthy of its own thread, H&RA.

That's your problem. So many good deals get buried here under the weight of people listing half the items in a sale as separate deals. It's really not helping this place, it's just becoming a car boot sale rather than a place to find genuine bargains. Doesn't help when the mods can't even agree on what's best either!
#17
This is what you get when you just say "Choose from over 100 CDs priced at £5 or less each. That's all." and don't even bother to edit any single bargains to the opening message.

However, this deal is so fine that it can, by all means, be posted individually too: two of the world's finest CD's £1 a piece!

And what happened to that thread? It got more heat than 90% of the individual deals posted. 'nuff said.

Wouldn't brag about that when even this alone is "hotter" than your thread. I just wanted to make my point clear as these things may seem larger than life to you.

*sigh* Yet another one who ignores the larger point. This site is like idiot central at the moment. How many of the individual deals reached the temps my thread? Four? Five? Out of thirty?

thanks, ordered, hot :-D

Nope.

My advice remains the same. Do not post just Sale!/Cheap CDs!/etc.; there has to be some examples. Otherwise, you're just digging your own hole.

When you point out some individual deals in your opening post:
1) It would help others to identify prices that are low in real terms. There are bargain sales and "bargain sales ".
2) They ought not to be posted as single deals. At least, it is less likely to happen.
3) Your thread will get hotter and it will do it much quicker. I think this is mainly due to the fact that there are a lot of people who aren't interested in some retailers but might vote for their deals. In those cases the decision between cold or hot is usually made just by looking at the thread opening. Just think about it this way. Your thread consist of 100 deals. Shouldn't it be hotter than any of those as a single deal? If this is not the case, you are doing something incorrectly. If many of them got hotter individually, you have done it all wrong...
4) When your thread is hotter (promptly) it will receive more attention and we come back to point #2.

I ordered this on 17th July with delivery estimated 23rd July. Just got email tonight from Tesco Jersey to say expecting stock on 12 August..

I've been here before with Tesco in general - any good bargains are shown as in stock, so you place order it gets confirmed with despatch date. Nearer the time email or in other cases phone call on day of expected delivery to say it's either out of stock or not expected in and money refunded :x | It must be at least the 4th time it's happened in last year.

Has anyone actually managed to order and get delivery? just curious.

Charlie Brown.
