Which code you used? It's the 15WYS10-1, mean 15%off When You Spend £10

Thought an alien anthology post hadn't popped up for at least a day or two :-)

I bought from tesco last week and it was the digipack (unlike Amazon)

Thanks have ordered

Here we go with the individual posts... really? Really? The code is the deal and should be 1 thread of tesco deals.

Well instead of complaining why dont you do the honours and set up this MEGA thread?
#15
Nothing to do with the code but it won't let me checkout. Contacted Tesco and they say they think it's a problem with their 3D credit card checking ("they have been having problems this week") and there's nothing they can do. Shoddy.

Shame, I was also going for the Star Wars pre-order too.

digipack would look nicer than i presume individual cases.

good price, might preorder a bunch of items.

General concensus on one of the other Alien threads was that the digipack is far superior to Amazon'r amaray.

Why would amazons packaging be different?

Hot, shame I've just bought from Amazon few days ago.

btw. Really, really tried to like Alien 4.. but this is such a just bad movie compared to the rest.

Oh.. and A/V quality of 1 and 2 completely blown me away. Don't hesitate if you're a fan of Alien movies.

As Tesco have the Price Promise for pre-orders, do you think that if the full price (£ 67.49) comes down between now and September they will still give you the 15% discount off the lower price ?

Hot, thanks.
Orders Star Wars and LotR (Extended). Bargin.

LOTR extended editon? A Bargain?!

Not at that price, especially when you still have to swap discs half way through a movie.
#24
Damn, I think I bought this for like £25 when it came out! :(
#25
ordered - thanks op

Why would amazons packaging be different?

There are two different versions of packaging (don't know why). Amazon have a clear disclaimer right at the botton of the product description saying that this is the amaray packaging. The version that I got from Tesco (and others have said it too) is the digipack version which many consider to be superior but appears to be getting difficult to hold of.

I am no blu-ray elitist but I am happy with the packaging that I got.

I hope that everybody who is voting this deal hot is also adding heat to millarcat's original post for the discount code.

might be a strange question, or maybe a stupid one, but can i buy the alien movies separately, as I am only after 1 and 2?

Who spoke of a MEGA thread you sarcastic anus?

So if i ordered this, LOTR Extended set and Star Wars. They would only charge me for Aliens now, and the others as they become available? Also will I be able to cancel the latter two if/when they become available cheaper elsewhere, or I simply bottle it as they are not really that cheap IMO.
#34
Alien and aliens will be released individually soon.

Good price, It all went downhill after Aliens though and then worse with aliens vs predator films though recently with predators it has at lest put the predator franchise back on the right path just need James camera to do a new Aliens film though think he be tied up doing Avatar 2 to 4 for a while.

Trouble with films is you still want the whole collection even if some of the films are a bit rubbish Aliens and Terminator films being the prime examples!
#37
Thanks, ordered. £16 is the bite point price for me. I was hoping Play.com would sell for £9.99 in a special one day sale, but it hasn't happened. Can wait no longer. Love all the films. I think Aliens is my fave.

Not more Avatars... :S *yawn*
And I can guarantee you that I don't want the whole collection, Alien and Aliens all the way!
Same with the first two Batman's in the blu-ray box set, I only own Terminator and Terminator 2 and could never bring myself to spend money on the others! :P
#39
Thanks mate, just ordered a copy via top cashback, and the code is on their authorised list so a further 8.08% cashback, sweet.8)

shame tesco hasn't got The Fifth Element on Pre order as well :( especial as it is out next month

Agree with The batman's the first two with Michael keaton and Tim Burton Directing where great then all went a bit too kiddy and Batman and Robin being one the worse films Ever! lest the new Batmans are good and dark

The thing Prequel looks interesting about time they did another film!
