I think it's been cheaper without the code at other sites. They are probably trying to clear them before the blu-ray so might be cheaper soon if you're patient. I have this, still sealed :S

Tescos site doesnt say too much regarding special features but wouldnt this from another HUKD post be a better bet.

The Alien/Predator box has no special features, just theatrical and directors cuts of the Alien films. While the Alien quadrilogy is the 9 disc set with all the Alien bonus stuff, if you aren't interested in special features then yes, the HMV one is a better punt.

Really looking forward to the blu-rays of this set.

Although £10 is not bad, it has been lower in the past.

Great series of films....

would prefer the alien v predator destruction set now available at asda for £10 - 8 films for 10 :)

I recently watch the quadrilogy as I got the alien and predator boxset.

I soon realised that the only good films are the original Alien and the original Predator.

comprehensive set, shame about the latter two movies.

the director's cut of alien3 is actually a far, far better film than the theatrical cut, but it's still a mess. Not really a surprise when you read up on the production of it, which was a bit of a shambles. Resurrection is just daft and feels totally out of place with the rest of the series. At least 3 seemed to still be part of the same 'universe', '4' just feels totally out of place.

it's also been £9.99 on hmv/play several times in the past and often features in their sales, but this is the best price around for this set should you want it.

Hey its gone up 17p! This has been £10 on HMV (yes, the same Quadrilogy set as this one) for yonks which annoyed me as that is TOO cheap. I paid £40 and felt as though I was getting a bargain. Ideally I would like it to go up even more. I'm all for tat like Rambo and Die Hard to go for dirt cheap, but Alien deserves to hold its value a little longer.

Is that a time or a cost?

What about Aliens? I thought that was a fantastic movie, one of the few sequels that equalled or even bettered the original imho.

....Aliens is exactly the same as Alien?

I just can't agree with that, theyre two completely different styles of film. The original is more of a suspense/horror film, where as the sequel is a gung-ho, all guns blazing action movie.

To say theyre more or less exactly the same is, well, baffling.

That's a bit like saying Toy Story is almost exactly the same film as Brokeback Mountain because they both deal with two male characters "finding" themselves as they interact.
