Alien Quadrilogy (9 Disc Complete Box Set) £9.98 @ Amazon

Penny cheaper at Tesco - but 4-5 day wait - so probably not in stock

The Alien Quadrilogy is a nine-disc box set devoted to the four Alien films. Although previously available on DVD as the Alien Legacy, here the films have been repackaged with vastly more extras and with upgraded sound and vision. For anyone who hasn't been in hypersleep for the last 25 years this series needs no introduction, though for the first time each film now comes in both original and "Special Edition" form.

The definitive DVD box set of the most terrifying saga ever created -- over 40 hours of addidional footage. Four discs containing the original theatrical versions of each film in addition to the extended versions with Alien containing the 2003 Director's Cut and Aliens 3 including Fincher's workprint.

An additional four discs containing new, detailed commentaries, interviews, multi-angle anamatics, pre-production, production and post production featurettes, 252 pages of Stan Winstons fascinating workshop, screenplays and intriguing easter eggs. The final bonus disc contains rare still archives, theatrical and television trailers, interviews and fascinating special effects footage.

great if you have quidco - 8% at topcashback (and they are free) too - but you can get nectar points at Amazon - and they do have itin stock - sometimes if tesco say 4-5 days they haven't got it in stock and don't always get it

That set is no where near as prestigious as the classic Alien Quadrilogy in terms of packaging and disc extras.

+1 I would say most of the time though lol!

This is an excellent box set, the extras are well worth watching too, also you can choose if you want to watch the theatrical or directors cut versions of the films, I was never very impressed with alien 3 but the dc added a lot to it:thumbsup:
now im waiting on the blu-ray release, should be something special the amount of time they have been getting it ready!

Haven't read the full details but if Alien 3 isn't the special edition in this set then don't bother.
The theatrical release of this film was and still is to appalling for words but after six months of cagouling, I was persuaded to watch the special edition and all I can say is that it's a totally different film.
OK, so broad Yorkshire accents in space are laughable but the film worked much much better with the previously deleted scenes re-instated.
