Alien: The terror begins when the crew of the spaceship Nostromo investigates a transmission from a desolate planet and makes a horrifying discovery, a life form that breeds within a human host. Now the crew must fight not only for its own survival, but for the survival of all mankind.

Aliens: Sigourney Weaver returns as Ripley, the only survivor from mankind's first encounter with the monstrous Alien. Her account of the Alien and the fate of her crew are received with skepticism, until the mysterious disappearance of colonists on LV-426 lead her to join a team of high-tech colonial marines sent in to investigate...

Alien 3: Lt. Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) is the lone survivor when her crippled spaceship crash lands on Fiorina 161, a bleak wasteland inhabited by former inmates of the planet's maximum security prison. Ripley's fears that an Alien was aboard her craft are confirmed when the mutilated bodies of ex-cons begin to mount. Without weapons or modern technology of any kind, Ripley must lead the men into battle against the terrifying creature. And soon she discovers a horrifying fact about her link with the Alien, a realisation that may compel Ripley to try destroying not only the horrific creature, but herself as well.

Alien Resurrection: Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) died fighting the perfect predator. Two hundred years and eight horrific experiments later, she's back. A group of scientists have cloned her, along with the alien queen inside her, hoping to breed the ultimate weapon. But the resurrected Ripley is full of surprises for her "creators", as are the aliens. And soon, a lot more than "all hell" breaks loose! To combat the creatures, Ripley must team up with a band of smugglers, including a mechanic named Call (Winona Ryder), who holds more than a few surprises of her own.

that is a hot hot hot bargain! ordered!!
A brilliant price. My mum bought this for my dad when the first Alien DVD boxset came out and it was something like £90! We're talking 7-9 years ago!
I picked this up from work for a fiver :)
Fantastic price. But I'm waiting to get them all on blu-ray when they reach this price (or there abouts!). How the great DVD has fallen!

Have some heat.

Firstly don't hold your breath for the blu-ray, they have been promising them "soon" since blu-ray was invented!

Seondly don't get you hopes up for the quality of the blu-rays. theres a very real chance that aliens (note the s) might look WORSE then the dvd release and heres why:

Aliens was shot using the very last batch of some of Kodak's grainier high ASA film stock so any high res transfer has a high chance of making the film so grainy to be horrible/unwatchable or if they try and smooth it out it will lose so much sharpness then HD again seems pointless. Its a "wait and see" situation but lower your expectations.

Price wise this is not as good as the £6.49 deal last week froim cdwow but its still a good price for the current definitive collection of a classic franchise, even aliens 3 is made into a half decent film with all the added story in the directors cut. Obviously nothing can save aliens 4 from being a disaster ;)
Naaah. Aliens looked great on a huge cinema screen. If you project a DVD to that size, it'd look pants. Stands to reason then that more pixels will make a better picture.....I'm willing to wait!

Crikey though. £6.49. Missed that one. Just a silly price. Might have picked it up for that.
Hot price :)

we've had this for years, its a great collection, but we paid a hell of a lot more than this ;-)
this was 3 for £15 in WHSmith but they were out of stock :( and now its not stocked
God i love Aliens.

Aliens for men, Titanic for women, wonder what Avatar will be, for kids ?

Avatar is more for adults than kids. Saw the preview screening yesterday mate. Quite mature ideas in it.
