Easily in my top ten greatest films of all time.

I wish that the rumour had of been true that was going round a while back, that James Cameron and Ridley Scott would do two more Alien movies with them switching Directorial and Producer roles for each.

AvP killed the franchise sadly.

better of just buying the whole boxset for about a tenner, more special features that way :)

I loved that line too.
Great film

Maybe Booshambles is right, but for me 1 & 2 were the only really good films, the others were ok.

Captain Holister from Red Dwarf is in this film :D

I have a HDTV rip of this film, quality is still grainy as i read thats the way they wanted it so didnt fix it for HD quality

I wish there was a 3rd cut of this film that had just the good stuff from the extended cut but left out all the filler. Stuff like the gun turret scene SHOULD have been in the main cut, where as a lot of the extended stuff rightly belongs cut out because its slow, boring, or not needed.

One of my all time favourite movies, I don't buy a lot of DVD's as everything is on TV and I have limited viewing time, but couldn't resist at this price...heat added and my thanks.

I realise you can get the quadrilogy for £13 but personally i only really like the first 2 movies (3 was awful & 4 was ok). So for me personally i would rather just get 1 & 2 (would like to have them on bluray when they get released - come on fox hurry up) :-D

Good price.

I must say i'm surprised it's people's favourite movie.
It was a big disappointment for me, after the classic Alien.
The first movie was about a single terrifying industructable Alien entity.
In Aliens they were running round shooting Aliens like pheasants.

Has to be the best of all the alien films- a real classic

Well the alien in the first film wasn't so much indestructable as the fact they had no real weapons to fight it with & weren't military trained like the sequel either. Both the first & second movies were great, The main difference for me was the first was a 'suspence' film while the second was an 'action' film.

3 was an interesting movie that was sadly flawed because of production problems. It is not as bad as everyone makes out, in fact it is a lot better than 4, which is where they ran out of ideas and it became just another monster movie like any other generic sci fi monster film.

Love, love, love this film.

I've got something ridiculous like about 7 different releases of it on various formats, but for £2.99 it's a must-own.

Definitely consider the box set though, as it's a giveaway all over the place at the minute, and the extras are excellent.

Brilliant film but link not working and a search brings it up at £16.99

Can't agree with you more, this film is an all time classic. Cameron is producing a new movie now called Avatar and it sounds quite promising. I'd doubt there will be an new Aliens movie for some time (unfortunatly) with the flop of the AVP films and even if no.5 was considered it probably won't be directed by the big guns. Look at what happened to Terminator 3.. :|

Guess she don't like the cornbread, either...

Just watched it again....what a film, great cast, looks a little dated in place, but even so for me the best of the series, I liked Alien, just prefer the action of 2, also preferred T2 over Terminator....must be my age.
