I managed to get the following discounts and popped a copy of windows 10 on this unit, changing bios to legacy.

4% Quidco

15% Unidays (or try claiming your in the employee purchase program 10% and that you were told you could get 10% off, never fails)

10% Goodwill gesture

I purchased the top spec i7 model for £749.99, quidco tracked through at £35.97 used a unidays code for 15% off cost £637. Then I subsequently complained that I'd been advised that the console had an amplifier port on the back like the windows based version and was given a further 10% back £63.60 refunded. After all the discounts and cash back I paid £573. Item comes with a Steam controller and I will sell for at least £30. Incidentally the Steam Alpha R2 does have the amplifier port. It is sat on the motherboard and shows as present under windows. The port is merely covered by the thin plastic and would very easily be removed so access to the amplifier is gained.

Hope this info helps some one. I doubt this listing will go hot.

A bit of work, but wheeling and dealing counts as a deal.

Not bad if you can get it down to that price, but it's a pretty big if.

I'm not sure how you get to the £419 figure, from your description you get to £573 and then sell off a steam controller making the final value £543?

£419 is base price of the i3 model without any discounts. Alpha Steam OS goes from £419 to £749.00. The windows 10 version is an average of £50 more expensive on each variation. Great if you don't want windows or have windows key and can install yourself like I did.
